I'm in agreement with everyone's response to your question.

I have the full Alien with the Baby Beast in front of me now. It's X4 coil comes in at about .30 ohms which will normally have me vaping it at 35 to 50 watts. This power setting would easily be handled by the Baby Alien so unless you want more battery life with two batteries instead of one what would be the advantage that you hope to gain from a higher powered mod? If you are really planning to build your own and want to go to a lower resistance coil then yes a more powerful mod would be the way to go.

The Alien 220 w's is a very popular mod for good reason and will give you usable watts in common applications up to about 150 or 160 before it max's out.

By a baby alien I guess you are talking about the Smok AL85 the 85 w mini, that comes with the baby beast tank.
I got the Smok G-priv that comes with the big baby beast tank, got the RBA deck that comes with two SS coils and works great. I make coils and my own liquid.
For making coils I'd go with the 25 mm tanks so you have more space to work in. I'd get something that will take a 25 mm tank without overhang like the big baby beast. I also like the touch screens, it quicker and easier to use than clicking. The Sigelei T200 has a nice touchscreen, here is a youtube link

No experience with the Sigelei Kaos Spectrum, as I have one on order but the shipment is still in transit, however my favorite mod and the only ones that I use right now out of all the mods I have, is the Sigelei/Fuchai 213/213 Plus (I have the Sigelei 213, Fuchai 213, and 2 Fuchai 213 Pluses). They can go up to 213 watts, although I never go above 50 watts and typically use it at 40 watts. Using 2 LG HG2's with the 3000 mah capacity, a pair of batteries will last me just under a full day's use. Alternating between 3 setup's, I have to switch batteries about every 2-1/2 days, and that is with going through about 30-40 ml's of juice per day.

I've also preordered the iJoy Captain.

If you like everything about the baby alien but the limited power, why not the full alien? Telling us about other things you don't like about the baby alien will help in making suggestions. Or if you are just looking for "cool."
Part looking for cool ...part of me wanting to try a different brand ...but I do like my AL85..love the ease of use and the baby tank is great for quick top filling

No way I can even try to help with "looking for cool." I aged out of "cool" a number of years ago. :D

I've also been down that road of liking what I currently have, but looking for something that might even be better. Found some and some fell short. Nothing wrong with trying some out.

Having said all that, here's a thought. Since you like the baby beast tank, you might take a look at the G-Priv 220. The kit comes with a Big Baby tank, same as Baby Beast, but larger for less fillings. The cool factor for looks will depend the individual, but the big touch screen not only looks nice, but makes navigation a breeze. Then you can just swap out tanks for flavor changes.

What batteries are you using that does this? Make/Model/Color and numbers if you don't mind?

These batteries are likely nowhere near capable of running at the power you demand, hence the instant full to drained. As far as I know, there are no 3500mah 18650s rated for 20 amps, certainly not for 35. Even LG's highest output battery tops out at 30 amps, and it only has a capacity of 1500mah to trade off for the high drain capabilities.

The cells you have are most likely batteries from a larger manufacturer that couldn't even pass specs(probably didn't pass at 20a) and got sold off as B or C binned cells(meaning factory rejects).

Truthfully, I would tell you to look at getting a battery from a real manufacturer(Sony/LG/Samsung would be my recommendation), and buy them from a trustworthy retailer(not eBay/Amazon/Alibaba).

No one really knows what cells are under the wrapper, and that means there is no way to know what they can really handle. For all any of us know, it could be a 10a cell that they rewrapped and stuck a 35a inflated rating on, and you could be sitting on an accident waiting to happen.
