Got a nice smart charger but need help

Hey all I got the MiBoxer C4 Smart charger but I need help. When I put in my Efest 26650 IMR battery on the charger it says it’s charging in Li-Ion mode is this ok? Are IMR and INR part of the Li-ion family? Getting kinda nervous just used to my efest LUC charger just plug and play lol

Hi and welcome. No worries. A 26650 cell is a Li-Ion type of cell. You said it was a smart charger. It certainly appears to be to me...

Oh ok so IMR and INR are also a type of Li-ion batteries? Like 18650 etc?

Yes, they are. They're both Lithium Manganese but the INR adds Nickel to the brew.

I see thanks for all the help the manual was confusing with all the batteries it supported it listed IMR and INR separate from li-ion so I thought maybe they were their own type

Note that the Efest isn't an IMR. Nearly none of the batteries with "IMR" on the wrapper are actually IMR.
