Hi all

In my never ending search for the perfect vape I ordered a provari and received it today (woot woot:))

Now, let me start by saying that I was vaping an eGo 1000mAh battery with this clearomizer.
3.5ml Vision Clearomizer x5 | Atomizers | Gentlemens Reserve
modded out as per this fantastic vid
VaporChase Tutorial - The Ultimate Vision Mod - YouTube
It is an 'almost' perfect vape for me. I mean the mod is fabulous!!!!....but the eGo .... not quite. I LOVE the clearomizers. No filler to deal with..fill it once and that's that. PERFECT (almost)...

so...I ordered a reo mini but that just didn't cut it for me. It hit me too hard ... or something....
Anyway I gave that to my husband who loves it....:)

so then I moved on to a provari....ahhhh......but I ran into a problem! The clearomizers above don't fit it without a couple of adapters added so now I am on the hunt for a clearmizer that works with the provari without having to add adapters......but...a clearomizer that can be modded like the one above. I found this one...
CE2 Clearomizers (Empty) (5/pack)
so my question is, can the CE2's be modded out?

I've got a load of clearomizers and none will work on the provari without two adapters. I don't get it.
They fit on it but will not fire up at all and yet all will fire up on the eGo batt.

If I add the two adapters they will work on the provari

So..am I understanding you correctly? The clearomizers should work on it without adapters? and the ce2 would have the same connector as the clearomizer?

Yes,they should work, maybe the center of the connectors is off a little(too far up to make contact)
Try pulling the center contact out a very little bit,see if that helps.Sometimes they get pushed up on one device and won't work on another
or does the provari give an error code?Try doing an ohm check with it on the provari,If it shows"op",it is not making contact

Glad you got them working! The Visions should work fine on the ProVari but you can never tell with that center pin sometimes, it can take a little coaxing out to make proper contact. I've had a few cartos come like that, but a little tug with a paperclip through the center hole and they're fine. Glad the mod is working out for you too! :)

Love the mod!
I'm really pleased the suggestion above worked. I was about to dive back into carto hell :D

Heh, you know, I really don't mind cartos, but for sheer experience I've yet to meet the carto that can match a properly modded CE2 which, so modded, easily matches dripping for purity of flavour, strength of TH and production of vapor.

+1 on your mod for the clearomizer, works great, i keep going back to mine after trying out other things, it is just sooo easy to deal with. Slightly off topic question: any reason the comments are closed on your lateset vid? Also what voltage do you vape the vision 3.5ml clearos on?<----never mind on that one, just watched your review again, now vaping my modded clearo on 5v :)

That's one advantage my Vision mod has over the Fluxomizers: No tools required. Just take off the mouthpiece to fill. I could do something like that with the Fluxomizers, but it would involve gluing the O-ring to a drip tip, which means you'll have to use something non-toxic like aquarium-grade silicone sealant. Not a big deal, but part of the point of the mod was to use household tools probably everyone has and not have to require you to buy anything to make it work. Still an option though.

Bhuh? Crap, you're right. I don't know how the hell that happened, but YouTube was going through some design/feature changes at the exact same time I was uploading that vid (and I don't like the changes) so maybe something got screwed up. It's been fixed now.

:D Yep, 5V or so is just about perfect for those. It starts to have wicking issues when you go much above that, but 5V still provides a nice warm, clean vape so it's not really necessary.

You should hunt down the worst tasting juices from around the world and review them LIVE ;) lol

question/answer period :D with the occassional mod here and there :)

Oddly enough, so would I. But then I don't have a problem with people having a laugh at my expense. :D Of course the problem is getting those juices. If I could get people to send me their worst, most unvapable brews it could be viable, though to be honest I think that would be best suited to a review series on YouTube rather than a live show. Still, it would be a fun idea. :D

As for a live show ... I dunno, I could do a show for newbies, that would be an easy one. Mods might be a little tougher to fill a regular show since the only mods I've really done are clearomizer mods -- either modding existing ones or ripping them apart to make a homebrew tank. Plus, the only webcam I have is the one built into my monitor, it's not very good, and obviously isn't well suited to horizontal shots, much less macros.

I dunno. It's kind of moot anyway unless I can work out a way to set aside a regular block of time.

Any time! Yeah, I've been having issues with YouTube's new changes. They've completely changed everything, and I like some of the changes, but there are some serious problems and oversights that need to be addressed there, as they're quite annoying.
