Got a question about noise?

Just got my second RSST - coiled with #500 SS Mesh / .5 Ribbon Kanthal and it's coming in at .9 ohms

clouds,clouds clouds and the flavor is intense...but.. this one is quite a bit noisier than my other one - Does more noise indicate an issue with coil set up?

I have no issue with the flavor (although it is pretty intense), TH and vapor production

What kind of a noise? Hissing, burbling, popping, sputtering, rattlesnake?

Ha!..More of a burbling.. not as quiet as the "hissing" sound of my others..

Your wrap might be a teensy bit looser than the previous. If you hold the button with the device vertical (cap off) and you start to see coils glowing sooner than you'd like (sooner than RSST#1 does), that would confirm it. Also, you might see juice forming bubbles against the coils (more pronounced than with #1, say). Sounds like its not a problem until/unless you were to start upping the ante (longer draws, less tilting, next coil being lower resistance etc).

Cool..Thanks for the feedback.. I recently starting using Ribbon and I think you might be right..maybe not as tight of a wrap - used some on my Aga-T2 just now and it is a teeny bit noisier as well..still vaping great though..

With juice in the tank, hold the unit near your ear. When you hit the power button, you should hear a nice even hisssssss. Never popping, sputtering, crackling, etc.

I sometimes hear sputtering; but its when I'm using sputter-flavored juice . . . . so that's probably ok. (I guess)
