I'm on day two with my LP grand and I am having a ball. I do have a question. I will squonk for about 3/4 seconds which I check by removing the tip. Watch the juice fill the bowl of my RM2, then I take maybe two hits then on the third vapor diminishes so I squonk again and the vapor increases and the flavor returns.

Is this normal? I'm using a 2ohm coil with KGD cotton. Any advise?

Sounds normal to me. That's about how it works for me. The juice drains really well, so another squonk = fresh juice. I keep my wick really short so I vape it out pretty quickly. (Couple of hits per squonk.) Before long, squonking will become so second nature and automatic that you will have to stop and make a conscious effort to even know how many hits you get per squonk.

Yes, that is very normal :). For me the best vape comes from introducing fresh juice as much as possible.

That is where short wick tails are King. They don't allow juice to sit and get cooked before it's actually vaporized.

I squonk after every hit or two and revel in the fact that I've built a setup that vaporized so efficiently :)

But I may have unintentionally misled folks with my "center the coil on the juice hole". I was referring to distance between the posts and the rim of the deck. That's where I place it - roughly centered on the hole like this :

It's not good to block the juice hole with the coil :).

Squonking to me replaced ashing a cig :)

How long between squonks depends on your vape. Make sure the squonk goes over the coil. A pic of your build would help to see if there's something else we could do to help.

"Squonk goes over the coil"

Wait. Does that mean you squonk until the coil is submerged? :O

I really didn't say the "over the center of the coil" correctly. As a matter of fact for me it would be hard to get the coil directly over the juice hole. My bad. Mine is just about where your pic. shows.

Yes like jifjifjif said submerge the coil. Let the coil cool before doing so or you will burn your juice and towards the end of the bottle it will get a little on the funky tasting side. Okay maybe a lot on the funky tasting side depending on your juice.

ETA Let the juice fully drain or you'll get a weak hit.
