I'm from New york, and with the banning of e-cigs, and all of that going on.. Would it be a stupid idea to buy one? I'm really trying to look for an alternative to cigarettes, and I'm really hung up on e-cigs, been looking at all different sites, models, starter kits, reviews, and everything.. but now that I've just read that new york is banning them.. Should I just forget the entire idea? And move on... Or.. Should I get one?

are they going to ban the smoking of them or just the sales? either way, i would still go for it. stock up on e-liquid for a year and off i go. if i wasnt allowed to use it in public, i would use restrooms and of course, my own little home. even if it doesn't get you off the analogs completely. i think cutting down is still better than smoking

IMHO, I think you should. Get yourself off the cigarettes and share your experience with others that you know who smoke. Even if the ban goes through you may be able to resist going back to the analogs by then and be better off in the long run. Good luck and I hope NY and the rest of the nation gets their Shizzz together. I think Nino makes a great point, stock up on supplies. if the ban does happen just keep it on the DL ;-)

By the best VP you can find and stock up like others have advised. I have no idea if they will be banned but my gut tells me the powers that be want them gone. Anything (a product or a philosophy) that decreases our dependence on the system and affords more personal freedom and liberty will surely be attacked and vilified by our government. We no longer live in a free country. We can either get used to it or fight back (think Gandhi not Clint Eastwood) with every ounce of energy at our disposal.

I should receive my kit today and if these PV are as miraculous as everyone is claiming then I'll be stocking up on batteries, juice, and carts. But more important than foresight as it concerns a possible ban on E-cigs, we as Americans need to wake up before we loose everything our ancestors fought and died for, i.e., freedom of conscious and the right to live a free life in the pursuit of liberty and property. Anyone who is blind to the current "signs of the times" will be trampled under foot.

I decided not to take a chance and doubt our government is ever going to be behind my personal choice to use e-cigs and nicotine. I stocked up big time on gear over the last year (attys and battery mods) and have lots of liquid (about a 2 year shelf life supply more/less). My attys last so long, I probably have over a 10 year supply at this point, ha. Hmmm, think I need to do an inventory.

Look for vendors that give you big breaks for quantity purchases. Save up to buy them in bulk as often as you can. You'll save money, be prepared (just in case) and have a little piece of mind.

I would say get as much stuff as you can get your hands on now before the ban. Look into neighboring states, think about relatives and friends in states that are not banned who could forward stuff to you.

Get off of those analogs! They are poison!

You will be able to get stuff! Where there is a will there is a way!

VAPE ON!

There is a pending bill to ban it in my state as well....I'm still doing it and I'll go down fighting. Trying to educate everyone I know, including nonsmokers on it...trying to convert friends so they will fight...I'm harassing my senators, especially the one who's trying to pass the bill.
The fight isnt over until everyone gives up.

Dont live that far from the boarder guess I could make drug runs in to mexico...
(what a downward slide, I used to be a narcotics cop for the military o.0)

i know u cant sell or buy in state.. but u can always buy online right?

I guess that would depend, if the package was labeled from a know vaping company you would have it confiscated or if they x-rayed it and saw what was inside.

A on-line shop might not sell to you if they knew products were banned in your state because they could get in trouble. You might try getting it directly from China though and see if it gets through customs.

Small orders from China shouldn't be a problem. They're pretty good about how they label to ship. I have local vaping buds (found through my social group) and we go in on orders from China together to save on shipping costs (which are high and by weight). We haven't had a single problem.

Individual orders that are confiscated at customs are rare.

There's no ban YET. Stock up!

This is going to be the next Prohibition. There were 'speak easy's' weren't there? There will be 'smoke-easy's' too.

As for the suppliers NOT sending things out to people were it's 'banned', why would they do that? There's no 'customs' between States are there? No. I'm sure SOMETHING will be done, the supplier's have a good thing going, they'll find a way to ensure their customers get what they need.

Yes, I have FAITH.

Sure, the government loves money. BUT, so do our suppliers! They're running a BUSINESS, and, isn't it all about the American Dream? Sure it is! I DO believe they got INTO this business to HELP people, don't get me wrong BUT, when times get tough, people get SNEAKY.

Buy an e-cig. There WILL be ways to get supplies for them.

Do you REALLY think the ATF guys are going to start storming peoples doorways for NICOTINE in TRACE QUANTITIES?

C'mon...I think they have better things to do, don't you?

The ATF definitely will storm businesses and homes. Did you know the Federal Agents have been raiding farmers (armed with fully automatic weapons) all because said farmers were selling organic milk (whole milk, fresh milk that hasn't been homogenized or pasteurized)? Do not underestimate the lengths our government is willing to go in order to suppress anything that threatens their monopoly (anything that frees us from their system is considered highly dangerous and seditious) and control over us. We are the reason they can launch foreign wars of aggression (taxes). Our cash pays for the bombs they drop on unsuspecting foreign civilians.

It has nothing to do with nicotine and everything to do with power and authority.

 So, what...organic milk is ILLEGAL now?

Bizarre.

The sad thing is, you're probably right.

But, TRYING to stay on the positive side here, (and hanging precariously from my fingernails..), people DO find a way to get things out there. On the other hand, I'd hate to think that we'll all have to stoop to the same levels as crackheads to get what we NEED..:(

That all being said, YOU guys, (Americans), should be in the clear..your PRESIDENT smokes like a FIEND and is, quite possibly, the favorite Political Figure of all TIME. Think I'm kidding?, When he came to Canada, he got out of the limo and after hearing the crowd, we all said the same thing..that guy's not a politician, he's a ROCK STAR.

Someone should send HIM one.

And, I'm not being sarcastic...I had NO interest in quitting smoking, I loved it. I bought a crummy SE Gold in Las Vegas STRICTLY so I wouldn't have to sit through the HOURS of wait time between checking though Security and landing in Toronto, bags in hand and guess what happened to ME???

If someone had just TOLD me about e-cigs, I'd have probably laughed in their faces. But, after TRYING one, whole new ballgame...

Come on, I just don't see that happening.

I don't have the money available to me at this time to just go out and spend 1-200$'s on stocking up. I'm lucky, if I can put $100 into this commitment at the moment. So, Stocking up big like half of you that have a good inventory is a no go for me. Though, I am still thinking about taking the risk.. because I enjoy nicotine, but I hate cigarettes.

Why don't you take a look in the Classified section here on ECF? There are plenty of good prices on both hardware and liquids that people have tried and found they weren't for them!

Best way to try juice flavors and, when you DO find one that you like, buy a larger bottle from the company. The average price for 30ml of liquid is usually around $20.00.

I know one can't be pitching their analogs, but think about how much money you're CURRENTLY paying for them. A lot more than $20.00/14 days I'll wager.

People at ECF are always willing to help, if they can. Keep posting and asking questions!

Good luck!

Col. gaunt,

You may not "see" (don't believe it) it happening brother but it is happening and all around the country. Do you realize how many despotic things happen in our country everyday, perpetrated by out of control government employees? Everything from 72 year old women being tazed (because they feel they've earned the right to speak freely after such a long life) to pregnant women being dragged out of their cars and electrocuted in front of their children and neighbors by police. I could name dozens and dozens of events like these but what's the point unless people spend a little time researching it for themselves? I don't want to be "believed" and no one should believe anything they hear from anyone else. People need to start doing their own research. The fact of the matter is that most of our "collective" reality is fabricated. The mainstream news is as trustworthy as a snake oil salesman.

And the story concerning farmers selling organic milk (real organic milk, not that crap you can buy in the supermarket) is completely true. Do some research on it and check out Codex Alimentarius (U.N. legislation). Pretty soon we'll be unable to buy clean food anywhere. Does anyone stay abreast with pending legislation? None of this stuff is a secret, it's just not reported on by the mainstream media.
