RDA Got an Mvp 3 30w with subtank mini. Can't taste a thing. Would any rda work well with my 30w setup.

I started vaping in mid 2013 with an eGo and evod. I started vaping because I smoked a lot of hookah, with a lot of nicotine, and it made me feel like crap. I had no prior experience with e cigs, so I vaped like it was the best. I didn't have much money for the better and newer mods, so I decided to stop vaping and gave my eGo to my 50+ year smoking Uncle.

Well, about 3 weeks ago I found a really freakin' steeped bottle of clove e juice in my closet and remembered all the fun times I had with vaping, so I randomly decided to buy myself a variable voltage mod. I researched and researched, and with a strict spending limit I decided to go with the itaste 30w and kanger subtank mini. I had read these two went well together.

Now, here's the problem with me... every juice I taste either tastes the same or I don't get any flavor (EMPHASIS HERE). I tried flavors from my zamplebox, flavors from ccvapes and mtbakervapor, flavors from random websites...I don't get a good vape experience. I know some of the juices were steeped because of their birth date, and had the same experience with unsteeped ones. I went online to look for a cure and read about rda's and how nothing compares to the taste with an rda. Would an rda work well with my 30w or do I need to cough up another $100 for a mod? I am a huge flavor chaser. Thanks.

You could absolutely run an RDA with that mod. It would probably be best to get one that is capable of single coils and decide if you like dripping enough to go further. Something like a Magma or Igo-W or even a Derringer. When I first got a Derringer I ran it in single coil mode with a .9 or 1 ohm build for awhile at 20-25W and got pretty good flavor. Same for the Magma.

Chances are, it's not the tank, or the mod. You've probably got a case of Vaper's tongue. I actually ran into the same problem when I started sub-ohming. Just be patient with it, as it will pass. One thing you could do is try and find some pretty strong flavors to use (citrus and menthol flavors work pretty well). What's happening is that your system is actually overwhelmed with smell and flavor, and essentially needs to "reboot".

Just be patient with it, and don't give up.

Is that really a thing? I had no idea. It actually makes sense, though. Thanks, I'll see if I can clean my taste buds from home remedies.

Well, I guess it depends how you like your vape, I prefer a warm vape and with an RDA at 30w I think you will only get that out of a smaller chamber but I think that marquis is a tighter draw, less airflow will also produce a warmer vape it's just not as efficient to me the best vape is with max airflow across the coils and when you get a warm vape that way it's just this dense flavorful really enjoyable vape IMO but everyone is different so what I like you might like something totally different. I can't really speak personally about the marquis or veritas as I don't own either one all I can tell you is at 30w you are really at the borderline of where I like to vape and the only way you will get the kind of vape I prefer is with a small chamber RDA.
