My V5 actually arrived in 10 days from China because it did not go through Hong Kong. Very nice device but even though you can remove the cap, the threads are still press fitted into the cap so you still cannot access the chip board or repair the threads without difficulty.

There is a disassembly vid on YouTube of the V2 where he accesses the chip board quite easily. Since the V5 is supposed to have a V2 body with the top ring like the V3, I guess you were expecting to be able to disassemble it like the V2? Sounds like the only thing that's the same as the V2 is that they made the V3 body without the swirls?
