Ovale is the place, I'm about 5+ ml a day and clean and dry burn every 3-4 days...super easy and as good as new.

The wicks are the weak link I believe on these atty's and won't last nearly as long as the atomizer itself, I have some 1800 degree silica thread on the way to rebuild them, should be a pretty easy process according to the folks that have been doing it for a bit, I'll post results as soon as the material arrives.

I have been thinking about this as well. I have had the same issue with one of my SR attys I did a fubar on the wick but the atty itself is fine. I had thought about ordering some parts from Bulli Smoker and experimenting with refurbishing the wicks once they get too far gone. Let us know how it goes on your C atty wick rebuild! :)

Talking from my experience with the LR Type Bs, I think it depends on the juice you are using and also what voltage you are supplying the atty with. Anything over 3.3 - 3.4 V was overkill in my case. The worst case scenario for me was using a cinnamon PG pre-mixed juice and a Riva battery.

Using a Riva with an SR eGo-C seems to be approx equivalent to eGo batt with a SR atty, according to Kent if I'm not mistaken.

I have no problems now using a Riva SE and SR eGo-C atty. the difference in voltage translates to better vapour and TH, but flavourwise I couldn't be happier!

Hope that helps.

When I was using the cone type attys I was LR all the way. Now with these new C types, I am not so sure which way I will end up going. I have tried SR and LR on the C's and so far I have had a better experience with the SR's. I am getting many burnt inhalations with the LR attys.

After one month using both SR and LR heads i think i've got my decision...
I'll stock up with SR's.
LR's deliver a little more vapor and faster of course but performance to me is not that different from SR to justify a shorter battery life and shorter time between refilling a 1ml tank.
My vaping style is long and relaxing double triple draws, i feel the SR have the right wicking rate for this kind of vape.
The LR is very good though and i can understand why some people may prefer this one.
both are worth for a try.

I've come to basically the same conclusion. At first I was surprised by the vapor production on the LR and even though it didn't burn out or discolor ejuice, most flavors taste better on the SR, imo and the SR is no slouch on vapor. I still have 2 LR's going - Real Tabs and Habana Res. but when I lose one, the Habana will be going on an SR. Probably keep the real tabs on LR until I run out of them. So far I haven't lost one - even the two betas - so that's a good sign. I'd like to know why a few people are going through them though. I suspect cleaning or dark (particulates) ejuice, but there may have been a bad batch....

I almost popped for the eGo mod batt (18650) but didn't go to checkout :D ... I'd prefer a 14500 model - because I have a few of them from all the Bartleby's I had  and the reports on the no ego 14500 I've seen has has some problems with the threading. Still - I would like to have at least one for the worst case scenario - no proprietary batts.... the probability on that has lessened but I'd still like to have one.

I will likely be ordering a 5 pack of both. I like the LR on some juice and then prefer the SR on others. Boba's Bounty with the LR on the eGo-c is still the absolute best vaping experience yet!

It will probably be quite some time before I order more as my wife is still using one of the first SR attys we pulled out of the starter kit in November 2011. We also have two LR attys in rotation that have been going strong for well over a month. I am cleaning mine using the process I outlined in the big eGo-C thread.

For those getting dry burns check out this tank alignment post. Might help.

Very happy eGo-C vaper here! :D :vapor:

I am curious about the eGo Mod batt. I found the mod housing and the 18650 batts to put in them. I see an increased mah rating but the voltage rating is 3.7v as is the standard eGo battery if I am not mistaken. Is there an advantage to the R18650 batteries other than extended charges?

Also can the 18650's be charged in the mod housing by using a standard charger? I see where they can be charged that way using a rapid USB charger, but saw no mention of using a standard eGo battery charger.

In regards to the Riva batteries, I guess I have the same questions as they are rated at 3.7 volts also correct?

I started with the 510 but gave it up after a few months for the eGo setup. I have been using it for about 16 months now. I guess I am looking for something to heat up the vapor a little bit and give me a better throat hit? Would vaping at a higher voltage accomplish this?

Sammy,

I have a 30ml bottle of Boba's Bounty, that I've been steeping for a couple of weeks, before trying it for the first time. I mistakenly ordered the Kona Coffee Milkshake with the extra flavor boost. :( It is way too strong in flavor! (Never thought I would ever say that.) I need to thin it down a bit, to give that flavor a fair shot.. Still switching up between Ms T's Bananas Fosters Coffee and Hypnotic Mist from Vapor Bomb.

RedZone - I think I got the regular flavor on Kona Coffee and it was quite a robust flavor indeed. It was gone in about 8-9 days between me and the wifey so it never got that milkshake quality that some report after steeping for a month or so. That reminds me...I need to order more. :D

Boba's Bounty is still my all time fave juice. Vaping it now on the C with the LR...mmm Boba's!
