Got my first Naultus...and I'm far from impressed. Could use some advice.

No googles not broken, lol. Besides I use duck duck go anyway. But the reason I ask is because there are 1000's and 1000's of places selling evape stuff and I have no idea which are reputable and which aren't. Its really easy to put "genuine kayfun lite" on your site and then ship out a box of lucky charms, lol. I guess I should have asked which websites you all reccomend?

In responce to Nautiboy1279 I am definately a mouth to lung hitter. I do lung hits only when im trying to show off to people who think that evapeing sucks, lol. I actually converted 3 people over night to evaping becasue they saw how much vape these things make.

There aren't any "Genuine" Kayfun Lite + V2's. Most all you will find are clones. About the only time you find Real Kayfun's is when the original maker, svoemesto, comes out with a new design/model. They make x number of them and they sell out fairly fast. Then the Cloners get a hold of one and Knock it Off.

Fluid Vapes
Sure Vapes

Both have one for $29.99

Awesome. Thanks for the help everyone I'm going to head up to my local shop soon and see if they'll be willing to take the nautilus back and put it towards a kayfun. The shop I go to is really helpful so fingers crossed. Maybe I'll even get the Vamo V5 I've been eyeballing...maybe...lol with batteries charger etc its a bit pricey there about $85.

I know that my Kanger Aerotank Mega is genuine if the little decal that turns blue with a drop of water and then dries to reveal the Kanger logo again is genuine.

I misplaced my Aspire Nautilus box so I can't check the serial number on their web site. Maybe I'll find it.

But what the heck, heads for both of them are virtually worthless. One day vaping and they go in the recoil box. Even the single coil T3S heads only last a day in the Mega.

Well they wouldn't take it back because I used it. But the guy knows me pretty well at this point so he offered to rebuild my coil for free and wow, much better! But now I learned that I need a mod battery. Lol. I used my coil on his battery (don't know but it was BIG) and my battery (spinner II) both were set at 4.3V and I got double the vapor when my tank was on his battery.

I saw a YouTube test where the guy installed an online voltmeter on a spinner when they first hit the market. It was fairly accurate in the lower ranges, but when he cranked it up to the 4v+ range it started limiting the voltage to prevent hitting the 2 amp limit with a 2 ohm carto.

2 ohms at 4 volts = 2 amps (I=E/R)

I didn't know this. I wanted to get the Kayfun Lite as my next tank. So, getting an authentic one would be next to impossible?

Honestly I have used a genuine and a clone, own both. The only difference between the two is I paid 100 dollars more for the authentic one. If you PM someone that has a great clone (which I def have), i'm sure they will provide you with the link, and it will save you 100 bucks. If money is no object, then go directly to Svomesto for basically the same thing at 10 times the cost.

I have had a Nautilus since January and it has worked well. The only problem I have been having is that dried/burnt juice tends to collect in the bottom where the center spring is located. This results in a continuous skunky taste. The area is so small I can't seem to find anything to poke down in there to clean it out. Even a shaved down toothpick is too big. I'm kind of afraid to use any harsh cleansers because I don't want to damage the silicone seal. Anyone have this problem and found a solution?

I have read that you can pop the whole center pin out (and then easily clean the spring area), but that results in the pin being loose permanently (not good).

I have pretty much switched over to Kayfun and Fogger, but the Nautilus has worked well for me.

Screw it, I ordered a Vamo V5 with 2 18350 batteries, and a Kayfun 3.1 (clone of course). I did order off of eBay BUT only because the guy is an hour away from me so I should have it on Wednesday and if it's not legit then it's less than a 1/4 tank of gas for me to go kick his ..., lol, jk He had great reviews so I'm not to worried. But I do need to go to my local shop to get the charger because I couldn't find one close enough to get here before the batts.

Fingers Crossed, this is my first mod, and my first RTA (I think I said that right)...

So I have been using my 1st gen Aero Tank for over a week now and it has fantastic flavor, and decent vapor production, but it floods like no tomorrow, and I have to refill it about twice a day. So after all the amazing things I've heard I decided to pick up an Aspire Nautilus. I popped in the 1.6ohm coil set my battery to 3.8V and filled it up with my favorite juice, and after letting it sit for nearly 5min with primer puffs I decided to fire her up and....burnt flavor, right off the bat. So I swapped over to the 1.8ohm and moved up to 4V and it's better but it just tastes...different, my Aero tank gave me such a rich flavor, but so far the nautilus is just tasting a bit bland, and kind of...off.

I have heard that Aspire has redesigned the coils for the nautilus, and I can tell by the hole placement that I have the older coils. But how big of a difference does this really make? could a newer style coil provide the flavor I have gotten used to with all my Kanger tanks?

I really need some help here, I find it hard to believe that this is the tank that everyone raves about, so I'm giving the tank the bod and assuming that I have something setup wrong, or maybe just a bad coil...

On all airflow tanks; it's been my experience l, that the more juice you have in the tank the mores it you want to flow in; hence, more
Open you want the airflow control.
Personally I found the aerotank to be far better than the nautilus. Yeah I know this is the opposite of everything I heard. General to would fill the tank and close the hole all the way and take 2-3 primary puffs; then, open the hole all the way and start vaping. As I would notice the juice level dropping; I would close the hole a little bit. The Closing of hole help to maintain a vaccine pressure in the tank pushing the juice to the coil.
The same concept applies to both.

I put mine in a bath of water and one of the following they've all worked just as we'll:
Rubbing alcohol, vinegar, vodka.
I would let them soak for a couple hours or even overnight then rinse with warm water and scrub dry.

Congrats on the purchase!!!!!!
Do yourself a fAvor and get some 28g kanthan, cotton or silica, needle nose pliers, and a 2mm drill bit before the kfl shows up!
Also soak the kfl I'm water and vinegar before you use it. -if I say the whole thing I'll be repeating my last post..
Congrats again!!

How do you tell the difference between the old and new coils? You mention the hole placement. How is this different between old and new? Is there any other way to tell?

Well look at it this way.

You are a store owner and you can get the original Svoemesto for $50-$60 and sell it for $100. Or you can buy one of the brands of the knock off, clones, for $15-$25 and sell that for $29.99 to $49.99 and every other store is selling the clones for around that price.
Which one are you going to do?

Now when Svoemesto comes out with a New, Improved, Updated version that no one else has and no knock offs of it being made yet then when you have those you can sell them. But as soon as the knock offs hit the market for half the cost, or less, you'll be hard pressed to sell the originals at that higher price.

And in all honesty there isn't much to these devices. They don't have any coil heads like other clearomizers. It is all User Installed.

When someone on these forum start off with "You should of bought an Original" I have to laugh. It is some stainless steel tube and bar stock milled down and threaded with some holes drilled in it with some O rings.

Sure the original may be better machined with slightly smoother threads when you first take it out of the box but other than that there isn't much that can go wrong.

I agree and disagree with some stuff here. I own several (6) authentic kayfuns and a few clones. There is a difference. I've had the 510 threads strip out of a clone. The quality of the clones varies...so its a bit of a gamble. Svoemesto didn't stop making the lite+ . They still make them, albeit, they do sell fast . Only recently have the clones been any good. The first ones, about 6 months ago were pure garbage. I've been using kayfuns for close to a year. All of my authentics are still perfect. I've stripped out a few clones. That being said, they make some really good clones now. If they were as good back then, I wouldn't have 6 real ones. Ehpro makes some nice stuff....just do a little research. Some of the clones are still garbage, but some are really well made. They've come a long way in the past few months. The authentic kayfuns are better than every clone I've seen out there but not $70 better. They are an excellent first step into a good rebuildable. Easy build, amazing results.

Thanks for this post. Yeah you have to weigh quality against cost. All I have is clones, a total of 6 now, and find the EHPro's to be the best of the brands I have.
Not sure I would ever buy a real one for the difference in cost. I could buy 2 or even 3, with what they are now going for, for the cost of a real one.
But you have to wonder if they are all made in the same factory.
