I wondered the same thing when I stopped smoking analogs about 6 weeks ago... I started with 18mg liquids and I was vaping constantly to the point where I felt ill or had a headache so I cut down to 12mg (or maybe its 11mg I donno its different from certain places I order) and I have not had any headaches (at least not nicotine related.. I have a 4 year old son tho... so those headaches are still present!) since I reduced the nicotine amounts. I am also REALLY loving this Key Lime Pie flavor that I ordered from Vapedudes though! Anyways like others have said.. pretty much there is no "correct" amount of time, just til you feel satisfied or ill!!

Also on the point of eating/drinking and vaping... I am so bad I switch to a complimentary ejuice flavor to what I am having so I can vape along with it! Too bad my PV isn't waterproof or I would likely use it in the shower as well....

I'd say that's one of the big differences with vaping of how you smoke. I found the best thing to do is keep it with you. Instead of dedicating time to smoke. I just take a couple drags whenever I feel like it, normally no more than 4, average is two. With that I've also cut°c back a lot. It's hard to adapt at first do you're likely to do it a bit more. If it's more habitual you could go with a lower lvl juice normally and keep a higher one around for bad cravings

Hello everyone.

First time for me here. I just got my first real vape today and I'm in love. I received it in the mail at about 1 pm today and have not touched an analog since. For someone who smokes about a pack and half a day normally I'd say that's a start. :) I got the Ego-C twist with vivi-nova tank so I can replace the atomizer? I don't know a lot about all this stuff yet. I'm sure i'll learn soon from this forum though, holy crap there is a lot of info on here!

My one issue that I'm running into though is I don't know when to stop vaping. haha. That might sound silly, but it's like with an analog you reach the filter, you .... it, you're done. With my vape, I could just sit here and puff all day, and I can't quite figure out when to stop, since technically there is no end to it. Did any of you run into this when you first started? Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Holly

I've had the opposite issue so far. When I smoked analogs, I was smoking "lights" moderately (about half a pack a day or less) at very regular times throughout the day but would frequently get headaches, etc from nicotine overdosing. I now vape 12mg and as a vaper, I no longer vape at the same discrete intervals. I'll take a toot here and there whenever I get bored or feel like playing with flavors. I certainly don't vape for a full five minutes at a time or chain vape for ten minutes straight as I would smoking analogs.

Even sitting here at my desk, I'll probably vape several times an hour just one or two puffs at a time. I have had no issues even approaching nicotine overdose or withdrawal. I think that the difference for me is that even though there is no cue to stop, there is also no incentive to keep going. Smoking an analog, the incentive to continue is that there is still cigarette left to smoke.

Yeah I'm having that same problem actually. I love vaping so much that I would be happy to just vape my way constantly throughout the whole day. Unfortunately I'm very tight on money right now though and cant afford to vape the way that I want to. I find myself just going on and forgetting to set it down or simply not wanting to. I dont have a problem with the nicotine, but I better start finding some more money or vaping less haha.

Good Morning everyone :D well made it through the night with no analogs, woke up this morning with a slight craving (I usually run for one first thing when I wake). Grabbed my vape, took a couple puffs and the cravings seemed to go away. Magic! I seem to be getting used to the amount of puffs I need to vape too instead of just puffing constantly!

Kolki: Yeah, I did a bit of research on what I had on my hands, I even figured out that my battery was variable voltage and I could change it to....neat! :)

Holly, I went through the same thing 3 years ago. I no longer care about when to quit. I was a 2 pack a day smoker and now I am a heavy vaper and love it. I too have twists. I rotate 3 throughout the day, I use the nova tank in one, and buy the CE3 clearomizers from Altsmoke (5 for 10$). I love the variety of vaping multiple flavors throughout the day. My suggestion is enjoy the AWESOME change, find your favorite flavors and enjoy the savings. WELCOME

Congrats to you for quittin the butts! I could have written your post and I'm smoke free for 18 days now. I have the same set up you do and I have had no problems changing the attys. It's so super duper simple as unscrewing the tanks, popping off the old one and putting on the new one. There are videos on youtube as well, I looked at the one on My Freedom Smokes website, Best Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid - MyFreedomSmokes.com if that helps any. I did flood my base when I was rinsing out the wicks with it still attached to the base and thought it died, but I waited a couple of days and it's working again. I've discovered different ohms and voltages work better with some flavors than others, you'll quickly learn where your sweet spot is! I started keeping a list so I don't lose track, plus I'm slightly OCD !

I was using my mod in my friend's car and at the airport about a week after I got it and was a lil paranoid that I might be "overdosing" , although I wasn't feeling any ill side effects. My friend suggested that I only use it as I would have with ananlogs, so if I'm out and about , I leave it in the car b/c I couldn't light up in the supermarket. I never smoked in my house, but I vape like a fiend when I'm home! A psychologist friend of mine told me the act of smoking was just as habitual as much for the nic hit, so if I gradually reduce my nic intake, eventually I can break the act of vaping in the same way folks stop using patches, gum, etc. Although with all the yummy flavors available, I can't see that happening any time soon.

Good luck and continued success!
