actually imposter it might not be you.
the more I vape on the candy apple the more i start tasting bananas as well.
at first i get the full candy apple taste but then that fades away and i dont get a apple taste but i get a banana taste, still good but moved to the bottom of the 3 ive tried so far. I like my sweet juices to stay sweet and keep the taste all the way through and the blueberry crumble and the peach cream both do that extremely well.
I have heard this about the "banana" taste many times - about many vendors, juices, and cartomizers alike. I have come to a conclusion about this (and I am sure I am not the first) - I think it is the PG you are tasting. When I bought my first set of juices (from Eastmall which I think is Dekang), I had the same exact experience. Here is my post about it.
I seriously wondered what the hype was about different flavored juices if you were only going to get a hint of the flavor and then...well...banana! I was so displeased I actually sold my entire batch of liquid from Eastmall in the classifieds section.
I used my prefilled carts and the next juice I bought was from Nhaler. I did not taste banana! Joy upon joys - I finally knew that eliquid could actually taste like what it was supposed to taste like. Since that point, I have never tasted the banana again (regardless of the seller) - well except where it should be banana!
I think what happened, with me, and many others, is that you get used to the PG flavor and your taste buds sort of automatically subtract it out. How much this happens for each of us probably has a lot to do with our own taste buds and which flavors you are "programmed" to taste more effectively.
I have also heard folks describe a chemical taste, and for those folks, it never seems to go away. I have seen most of them switch to VG and become quite happy with vaping.
It seems that some of us are more sensitive to the taste of PG and for most, we get past it and never taste it again once we adjust. For others the switch to VG seems to be the only way.
Just one person's observations. I would be curious to hear back from you in another week or two and see if you can corroborate my hypothesis. For that matter, I am sure more seasoned vapors can tell me if I am full of it or not!
