Hi sooperdrave,

Thanks for responding. Are the racing ones the cartos he was having problems with or are they like the new ones that are in? If they are the new ones, how do I find them. I could only find solid black. Thanks.

they are new ones now, but they still have the racing stripe on them. i just got 3 packs of them last week and they are great. just click where it says turbo cartomizers.

SkyDragon--the empty turbos had the white band..Still do, I think..? They're hard to get marker to stick to for a long time..some people have been using nail polish and so forth on em

I like the racing stripe but I wish there were different colors to choose from. Instead I picked up a pack of colored labels and cut them so that they just covered over the white stripe. Now each flavor has it's own color and the cartos still look slick.

I'm really happy that I purchased these cartos! I like the soft cap cause I can pop it out with my fingernail and don't have to worry about having any tools with me. Thanks for the "lining up the holes" tip too...that seems to help with the draw quite a bit.

I can get a gurgling sound and am wondering if I might be overfilling. I start with 20-25 drops. Is that too much to put in one of these empty cartos?

That's what I put in them, too...actually, at least 25. Sometimes I get a little gurgle. If so, I just blow it out.

these cartos hold at least 35 drops. any less and your underfilling them. i usually put 40 drops in them. they will always make a gurgle/pop/crackle sound. the higher resistance on these do that.
look up, carto filling and the taryn spin. this should help you guys get more liquid in the cartos.

Thanks sooper...I've been using cartos from the start (early april) and do know the taryn spin. The gurgle I was referring to is when it gets into the center tube, not the pop/crackle.

I've found that sometimes the density of the filling varies, even in these great turbos, some holding more or less drops than usual...that said, I generally do anywhere from 25-35, but never 40. (I've been reluctant to end up blowing out ( and wasting!!) my favorite liquids, which I always seem to be running out of! Maybe I'll give it a try, with a liquid that I find just so-so!

i hate wasting juice too. 40 drops seems to be the maximum, and only a few cartos ive had will take that much. 35 has been the magic number for me. i did get one to take 52 drops once. i try to fill them untill they just start to gurgle (from the center tube being too full) no offense meant, genuinely trying to help. i saw another post where a guy was only putting 10-15 drops in a blank. just trying to make sure no one else was doing that. :)

yes, that was a turbo. i got 56 drops in one this morning. i think that your right in that the amount of batting is different from carto to carto. ive used alot of them and only found 2 that would take over 50 drops.

I would caution strongly against forcing the liquid in and overfilling the Turbos. I stopped doing the Taryn spin a long time ago. It chokes the cartomizer and impedes the airflow and proper wicking.

I'm back to dripping from the mouth end (against the walls) and letting it saturate until no more liquid is being absorbed. 30-35 drops is ideal. Or less. Then top off early and often.

Just my :2c:.
