Well, I finally got it. The first thing I noticed, though, is that the extended end cap doesn't screw on and off as easily as the standard end cap. Takes a little bit of force to get it on there, and that makes me a bit concerned.

Also, there are a lot of button presses, but I'm sure I'll get used to that.

It also correctly displayed the voltage of the battery, although it rounded it down to 4.1 volts (don't have a multimeter, so I can't check it). The resistance of my Boge 3.0 mini sub tank read at 2.9 ohms. Is it normal for an atty/carto/tank to have a slightly different resistance from what is stated by the manufacturer? Just curious...

Also, didn't notice much difference in the vape with this particular tank between 4.5 and 4.7 volts. Wonder if I should try taking it higher. (I noticed a difference on my Lavatube, but I"m not sure how accurate that thing is though)

Anyway, once I put it through its paces, I'm sure I'll like it even more than I do now. And I certainly do like the look and feel of it in my hand.

Get some noalox for the threads works great.Congrats on your very they are awsome just received my 4th one satin black love them. They do read accurate on battery and carto/atty.If it says 4.1 on battery thats good as loung as they don't come off higher then 4.2.And all cartos are gonna differ from what they say they are. They usualy state + - on the ohms some come out more or less.Thats the great thing with the provari now you can adjust as needed.
Another thing to keep in mind the vari will tell you loaded volts out your carto. The lt and others do not hope this helps you out and enjoy the new toy.:headbang:

My threading is like butter, never needed noalox although good recommendation from speedemon! As far as the button being cumbersome to navigate, that is not an issue for me, as it soon becomes second nature! Play with your new Provari and soon you will begin to appreciate it's simple navigation and pure quality of this wonderful device!

My boge read at 2.9 at times as well. It's fine. I usually use my 3.0s at 5.0-5.5 volts a big difference there.

I tried 5.0 volts with a BWB Starwberry on a Boge 2.9, but the flavor kind of washed out. Ever happen to you with a fruity flavor?

EDIT: BTW, how do you consolidate several quotes from different posters into one reply? For some reason, I've never been able to figure that one out....do you need to know HTML? I didn't want to triple post, but I guess I'm slow on the uptake...

No problem, I'm a big strawberry fan ha now you lit the fire I need more juice i need a new place to try out. That's one thing I'm still overwhelmed by all the juice vendors to be honest. It's amazing. I've ordered from a handfull of places and am pretty happy. My favorite so far was house blend from copper creek.

Oops sorry to derail thread ;)

Check out Madvapes.com for American made juice. I pay less than 10 bucks for 50 ml of juice! AWSOME!!!

Try 4.4-4.7V. 5V at 2.9 ohms is ~8.62 watts. Most people vape at 5-8 watts. Above that, flavor is usually sacrificed for massive hit.

I've found the provari is very accurate in describing the ohms a seller says. Most sellers give a range of ohms for a atty/ clearomiser etc. My provari has nailed it every time (& I've checked with an ohm meter as well). After playing with the provari too, you will see how after you've used the atty for awhile, it get clogged with juice gunk, & the resistance goes up.

Have fun with your Provari, it is the cadillac.

Okay, I think you mean watts but I get it. Right now I'm vaping some Vanilla Strait at 4.7 volts. That's about the most it will take.

Again, thanks. Never noticed that bubble before.

EDIT: Oops, sorry for putting part of my reply in the quote. Doh! I'll get the hang of this yet.....

Got mine a year ago Christmas. Remember thinking, God, what a club. Took no time at all the get used to it's size. Then I added bigger batt w/extension cap. Really, in a day or two you'll be used to it. All I know is I now have two, need a spare. Just sent one back for Retrofit/Upgrade to v.2. JMHO

Cheers,

Thanks for the support! I can't believe you have two! As I'm using mine today, I'm really starting to like it. On certain juices, the vape is much, much better than on my Lavatube, that's for sure. Nice to know that when I set it to 4.5volts, that's what I'm actually getting, and will continue to get indefinitely (if that's what I want, of course).
