Got my Silver Bullet today, and.......

Have been vaping on it alternatly with my Janty eGo and Prodigy V2, all using 510 attys and ECOpure rich juice.

The SS came in a brown envelope and was wraped in a paper towel
(no extra expense for fancy packaging here).
First thing that struck me was, this thing is BIG!! 8-o

So, I stuck a 18650 batt in it, screwed on a 510 atty, and put about 5
drops of juice on the atty.
Well, before I could take my first puff, I noticed the juice was leaking
from the 4 vent holes which are machined into the SS adapter, so I wiped that off w/ a paper towel and took my first hit.

The draw was light and mixed with alot of air, and I never could get
much vapor out of it. It was like sucking air (I do prefer a good amount of vapor).
So, I decided to try 2 CR123 3V batts.

Already found out the hard way that any amount over 3 drops just
leaks out the vents!! So I used 3 drops and vaped it.
Still lots of air, and very light draw. Also, 3 drops of juice at 6V is about
3 or 4 drags, and hotter than I like. Some folks would call it a good throat
hit, but for me, it was just hot air with vapor.

Unhappy with my experimenting so far, I kept the 2 3V batts in but put
a small bead of silicone putty over 3 of the 4 vents.

Now, vaping with only one vent, I of course thought it would over heat
and/or kill my atty, but it did not get that hot, and now the draw was more like my eGo and Prodigy, I was getting more vapor, much less hot
air. So I will just leave the putty on there for now.

Otherwise, I love the switch, and it is a very solid PV.

But, now that I have the stupid switch fixed on my Prodigy, I like vaping
it better.
It does not leak as bad as the SS, it's smaller and lighter, and produces
the same amount of vapor at 5V as the SS does with the 3 vent holes
covered.

Then there's the eGo, which, for me, is the best all around 3.7V PV I
have used, even though I do not like the fact that it only uses Janty
special made batts

Anyhow, I am not very impressed with the Silver Bullet in terms of how it
vapes and will stick with my Prodigy for when I want higher power, and at
3.7V, I like my eGo much more.

But that's just my own opinion, and I know it flies in the face of all the
rave reviews, so your milage may very

It's amazing how perceptions vary. I too got my Silver Bullet today, packaged just as you described. I have been waiting impatiently since my eGo batteries all died (less than six weeks) and I have been using my Joye 510. The 510 is OK but you get used to the normal battery life of the eGo, and, well, you know.

Anyway, I tried 6 volt right away. Wow! I got huge plumes of vapor and massive throat hits. I had to shorten my draw considerably. I tried 3.7 volts and although the throat hit is diminished the vapor production is still very good. I'm impressed. If the batteries last this will probably be my main vape. Yes, the SB is big and heavy, but I really don't mind. The button feels very good, much better than the 510 or the ever-sticking button on the eGo. It does leak if I drip too much (I agree--more than 3 drops is too much) but so does my 510 and my eGo. It uses lots of juice at 6 volts, but this is negated by the fact that I don't hit it as much or as long due to the huge throat hit and vapor cloud. The draw is slightly lighter than the eGo, but I actually like it better. One thing I noticed is that the atty doesn't heat up nearly as much after multiple drags as my other PV's. I attribute this to the fact that the huge aluminum battery case acts as a giant heat sink and helps keep the atty cooler. Or maybe the higher voltage uses less amperage for the same given load (I sort of remember something like that from my electric shop in high school). Either way, multiple hits are way more consistent than my other pv's. I do think the flavor is better with my eGo, but the SB doesn't taste burnt to me at all, even at 6 volts.

I summation, I am very impressed with the SB, and feel that it is worth every penny so far. I wonder how much our differing impressions are affected by juice flavor, nic concentration, juice makeup (PG vs VG), prior habit tastes and addictions, etc. I guess it just shows that perceptions vary widely.....

As I recall you have a 510 to cartomizer adaptor; try the SB using cartomizers at 6 volts. It works very well and you may end up enjoying this setup.

I'm glad to hear you are doing well with yours.
My personal preference is for a harder draw, like what you would get on
a tobacco pipe. I am just .... that's all
With 3 of the 4 vents closed, the atty does not run as hot, since the air
helps heat the atty and produce the vapor.
The vents on the SS are visible where the atty attaches to the adapter, unlike the Prodigy, where the the atty actually screws down deeper and there are no machined vents. It still leaks if you put too much juice in it,
but not like the SS, which leaks with 4 drops of juice.

If you use a eGo w/ the cone cover on, you will know how I like my draw.

Unfortunetly, too many "reviewers" do not go into details about this aspect of the PV; the draw.

So, I dont want to say the SS is a waste of money at all, it is very solid, and the switch is very well designed. Its just to "venty" for me to use
w/o my putty mod. And with all that air going accross the atty at 6V,
the juice burns up very fast.

I also have a Super6 on order (I had to get in line! LOL!!) so my quest
continues for the 'holy grail" of PV's.
Maybe this will be "the one", maybe not, but it sure is the most expensive
PV on the market (that I know of)

P.S. in my review, my mention of the lack of fancy packaging was not meant to be a
negative. I actually like the idea that part of my money was not going into a nice box,
with all the trimmings!! it's going into the unit its self. This is a GOOD thing

Yes, I have a bunch of options I can play with because I have tons of
different attys, adapters, etc. so I will be experimenting for sure and post
my results.

It is only a personal preference, but I now almost exclusively vape with cartomizers on my SB at 6 volts. But you know what they say, “to each their own”. So who knows maybe you will not like this setup, but then again, maybe you will.

The Super6 seems very versitile with the voltage changing, and the draw
adjustment (on the 801 only) and I like the idea of the locking button.
I also like it's size and over all design.
Plus, and am realy curious to see how well it works w/ the 801, since in
my experience, does not produce as much vapor as a 510.
With that said, I do have a 801 passthrough that I like to use when sitting at the pc and it vapes great! nice thick vapor.

My eGo's are my "take to work" PV's

I am considering purchasing the Super6 (and GG) because I like high quality, rugged PV’s. That is why I like the SB.

I have no experience with the 801 atty—so not comment on that.

Note: Let me know how you like the cartomizers on the SB.

First off you had too many drops right away on 3.7 and flooded the atty.
On 3.7 3 drops is all you need. when switching to 6v you can go 4 drops and maybe later when you got a good broken in atty go 5 drops ( on heavy vaping ).

With the SB and most other 6V devices all you need is a short hit 2-3 sec, its not like the Janty or other smaller devices.

long draws like you used to take with regular 510 will kill your atty - especially if you got too much juice in it.

The SB is the best all around unit IMO, I love it.

Your atty leaking doesn't have anything to do with the unit. Try a different atomizer.

The SB is an awesome PV but as others have stated it definitely has nothing to do with leakage. Good luck in your search for knowledge but it would serve you well to listen to some advice from the experienced vapers and save some bread. I've had my SB for a few months and it is very reliable and satisfying and you will not get longer run time from any PV. PS I have the S6 and, while the S6 outclasses the SB in quality, the SB makes up for it by outlasting it without giving up any points on vapage.

Just received my Silver Bullet(smooth) and I am blown away. The quality is obvious and it is producing massive amounts of vapour. I Have a Prodigy and the AdapteveR. The prodigy has been a decent PV but I was growing tired of the constant switch probs I have had with mine. When it was working it did produce alot of very nice flavourful vapour but like I said the switch kept malfunctioning and it became very frustrating. The AdapteveR has been a great one for me. I have had no issues whatsoever, but until I get my HV atty's I havent tried it at 6V. At 3.7V though it is fantastic!!! I can't wait to start vaping the SB and The AdapteveR at 6V. So far this SB is freaking AWESOME!!!!! Oh I almost forgot, I am using standard 510 atty's but I have some HV ones on the way. Can't wait to blast this thing at 6V!!!!!!

I purchased the Silver Bullet to replace a Prodigy V2, which IMHO is a piece of crap - bad switch design and blows atomizers.
The SB, in comparison to the Prodigy V2, is a total joy. I've been using it on 3.7v with 510 and 801 atomizers. It has been 100% reliable. Vapor production is as to be expected at 3.7v. I haven't experienced any leakage but I only use 3 or 4 drops.
In short, the SB has my highest recommendation and I would recommend it to newbies looking to buy their first Mod.

I exclusively use 510 cartos on my 6v copper and have not looked back, i killed 2 801 attys in 2 days at 6v but have yet to kill a carto in a week and a half. I did burn one of my cartos by letting it get dry, so i boiled it in hot water and dried it overnight. I added a few drops of butterscotch (delicious at 6v!), at first it wasn't producing vapor but it was deliver hot air so i knew the carto was working, after 1 minute of essentially vaporizing water the vapor started coming and its delivering flavor better than ever. cartos are revolutionary for 6v users, if i vape heavily i will have to add a few drops up to 4 times a day, which is nothing compared to the 20-30 times you would have to redrip on a regular atty

In my experience, I sometimes get a kind of 'lose' draw too using some 510 attys. Seems to even depend on the individual atty. LR 510's draw differently than regular 510's. Are you dripping, using carts or carto's?
I have found that I really like a LR 901 the best at 3.7V and a HV 901 at 6V. Just my

I'm assuming you are using a 510 atomizer? If so, they draw air around the threads. Where the bottom of the atomizer meets the SB. Try holding your fingertip there or sort of wraping your finger around the junction there (obstructing those little air inlet ports) and see if that helps.
