Maybe im a noob... but how would rebuilding a occ coil improve the flavor? They come with organic cotton and you dont have room to use a different style coil right?

Backpedaling after getting spanked maybe?

Within the first two hours of having my Subtank Mini, I felt like it was a 9/10... using the 1.2Ω factory OCC.

I could tell right away I was going to really like it because of the ease to fill, clean, change/rebuild coil heads (both styles), and the overall versatility and air flow options.

After ten days on that OCC, I decided to try the rba deck with the factory 0.6Ω coil, wicked with KGD.

Now it's a 9.5/10... but that's just my opinion.

(wanna know how long I've been vaping?... look at my Join Date)

Love my Mini!
9/10

Dremmeled the juice holes some (not too much!) for greater juice flow (for max VG).

OCC is for noobs and it gives out less flavor and vapor than my build
You have to make the noobs happy right ?

Two references to new vapers. Interesting...

I like the OCC. 7-10 days for the cost of 5 cowboy killers.

I'd better go up to the attic and twist up some sub-ohm Kanthal build to save myself the shame of it all.

:)

I love my sub mini! The RDA is spot on for me and I just popped in one of the prebuilts for S&G's and flavor is great. It all works great so far. I just wish my kayfun had the same style of build deck on it.... I am able to trap both leads and position the coil in the same amount of time as it takes me to get one lead trapped on the kayfun.

well ive a problem , 24 gauge builds dont work on my OCC , the insulator and the metal piece that holds it pop out because the coil is too thick . I find 28 gauge too weak ( bad smoke production ) and i dont have 26 gauge . What should I do "? Do you think I should risk it and go with 2 or 3 wraps on the 28 gauge . I havent recieved my istick yet , I thought i will recieve it today but alas , stupid holidays man . Can anyone wrap a 28 gauge twice or three times around a 2 or 3mm and tell me the resistance ? Ive never done this build

Well, I have been vaping for 3 years, and since I am proficient at rebuilding both RTAs and my RDAs, along with DIY on my juices for over a year now, I am guessing that in most circles, I wouldn't be considered a noob. Yet, I own several subtank minis, and I usually use the OCCs versus the RBA section. Why.....because there are times when I am lazy, busy, etc and it is easier and quicker to pop in an OCC coil, versus re-wicking or re-building. Now, with my Delta IIs, I admit that I use the RBA section versus the pre-made coils.

Right on the money.

I use the OCCs with max VG and while it is true that the flavor is diminished, it is still a satisfying vape for me, and hassle-free. Also use the RBA with 50/50 and it works well also. It's about options, even if limited, and convenience.

You're probably gonna want 26g cause that's very little wire with 28. I do 7 wraps of 28 for 1.5, I can't imagine 3 wraps. It would be a really small area of a lot of heat. It probably won't vape very well. You can always try it. Doesn't the subtank came with pre wrapped 0.5 ohm coils?

im pretty much a noob as well , unlike most people here , I dont really care about safety when it comes to battery . I have a ....ty battery and a ....ty mod where I test diff things , I dont care if the battery melts . I already tested my rebuild of the OCC , it is ok for now , I will try putting my dripping liquid on it tomorow and if that doesnt work , my rating on this tank remains .

All credibility lost. GG.
