Hi guys,

I just got the njoy NCIG as a gift and I've read up on some of the info i need to know what I am doing. The problem I had here is that the NCIG was incomplete (hand me down as my friend got it but never used it). My main thing is clearing up that I can use both DSE801 and RN4072 parts on this battery. Is that true? I want to stock up on atomizers for it and some empty carts to refill with different juices. Thanks! oh, and I need a charger if theres a cheap one floating around the web. THanks again!

Hi Yoey,

Welcome to ECF! You will find wonderful people here who will help you out 24/7 and endless reading material. Be careful of information overload. And be very careful - this forum is as addicting as nicotine!

What you have is an RN4072. It is comapatble with 801s. But I hear the RN4072 is better. I got my first one as a trade in the classifieds here. I really like it. I ordered more batteries, an extra charger and some carts here:
myPVshop Electronic Cigarettes - The RN4072 Electronic Cigarette
Fast shipping. Good prices - even better if you use the 10% discount code IVAPE10

A selling point for this model for me - if I have an emergency I can drive to the Pilot truck stop at 2am and grab a new battery or whatever. It will cost me tons more to do that, but it is nice to have the option.

Save yourself a lot of frustration and change the cartridge filler now! The best I have found (thanks to the resourceful members of this forum) is this kind of blue foam:
Marineland Rite-Size U Bonded Foam Sleeve Aquarium Filter Sleeves
You can get it at pet stores, online, eBay, etc. I use the instructions in this thread, post #55: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cartridge-mods/27723-eheim-filterpad-mod-6.html
(I cut mine a bit wider than the cart - 1/2 inch and it works great!)

You will want to buy e-juice and refill your carts. The juice you use will make or break the vaping experience for you. You'll get tons of recommendations on who has the best juice. My favorite is MyFreedomSmokes.

Here is a good, quick how to for the RN4072:

This is a must read thread for new vapers:

Welcome to vaping and feel free to ask any questions.

My first PV was the NCIG; it allowed me to quit analogs so I am partial to this style of device. Don't feel locked in to the NJOY products or the 4072. The 801, BE112 and 4072 parts are generally interchangeable.

Since you are missing several important parts, you might just as well purchase a new starter kit from one of the many fine suppliers/supporters on this forum. Figure that atomizers and batteries may need to be replaced each month. Refilling your cartridges with e-liquid will be much cheaper than buying pre-filled cartridges.

If you decide that vaping will become a long-term habit or a new hobby, place larger orders for equipment, e-liquid and supplies from Heaven Gifts or BestEcig (both in China).

An incredibly inexpensive 801 starter kit can be found at Dse-801 ($27.95). It will have everything you need but you might want to order some cartridges and liquid while you are at it.

The 801 is a great device. The 302 atomizers (low bridge) also work with the penstyles. The supplier above has those as well. I recently switched over to those and they work great. A simple coffee stir straw (or plastic from a cheap q-tip swab) cut at an angle at the bottom and inserted into the side of the polyfill of the cartridge in a penstyle works wonders to help wicking.

I do replace my polyfill most of the time now with AquaClear foam from PetCo. To restuff the cart filling just cut it slightly wider than the cart and trim off the top. Holds tons of liquid and cleans out with just a quick rinse and is reusable for a long time.

More tips and tricks for using the Penstyles can be found here on the forum DSE 801 *Penstyle* - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat

I wouldn't mess with anything other than a (Joy[tech]) 510 for starters.

Others disagree strongly, but the 510 seems to keep most people happy.

Cignot.com carries a no box kit for about $35 if your order is I believe over $65 total, or $5 shipping if not.

They also have the Joye refill eLiquid that comes in the 5 carts when you buy the kit. I LOVE THIS STUFF, others hate it, but their English Toffee IS THE BOMB! I had every order from cignot in like 2 days TOPS.

Just my injection.

I checked out the low cost DSE801's but unfortunately they're out of stock on everything but pink. sad, because it had free shipping too. Thanks for all the help guys! I'm trying to keep an eye out for those 801's to come back.

So what's wrong with pink!? LOL
