Got some free M7 X 0.5 Hex Nuts Thin from Tim off Ebay!

Tim (a guy on ebay) is selling nuts to fit the 510 connectors. He had apparently just listed his ad the day before I posted the message about the nuts being seen on ebay. He was checking to see if the search engines had started to show his listing and seen the forum post instead of his items. Well I had sent him a message on ebay asking if he would sell just a couple to me that I did not need 10 at this time. He responded that he would give me a couple of the nuts as a show of good faith for the forum post I had made. He did notice that I had complained about the price being so high. He told me that he has to pay over a buck 50 for them him self and with all the fees ebay and paypal charge not to mention shipping, he had to sell that many and at that price to break even. He was just trying to get his price down by getting orders for a few to see if there was a market for them. He can get them for about a buck a piece if he orders 100 or more. He said he did not want to make that big of an investment and never sale them.

Any way he also seen my Blu BOX mod and asked if i would mind if he copied it and used it for his nut sales and he would send me the nut that day. I said sure send me my nuts lol. I got them today and they fit perfect no play on the threads and thinner that I thought they work well you may need to use a washer if the drilled hole is a little to big as one of mine was. But being as thin as they are even with a washer they did not extend beyond the edge of the threads I like that no pinching hot wires.

Just thought I would try and help him out a little with letting you all know that these nuts are pretty good. And seeing how he gave me mine for free I kinda owe him. See what good fortune has fallen upon me since I joined this forum.

There would definitely be a market for them - in fact I'd love some. But for more than twice what I paid for actual connectors? Too rich for my blood. You realize you could just get a slightly smaller thread size and tap it out, right? With a hard to find tap that costs a third of what the nuts are going for, mind you.

Sorry Tim, I hope somebody buys enough for you to break even.

Where do you get your connectors. I'm paying 2.98 each local plus tax.
