Well hon ... I really like the idea of a wood box, bottom feeder. Have no idea why ... but then again ... the Wood of the mist or the Mist of the wood ... whatever it is called ... is sure a super pretty item! What do you think?

Are you talking about the Red Sky Box mods? They have one that goes by Like Mark II Misty or something like that, they are very nice looking. I am not a Wooden Box mod fan myself but they do look really nice.

I did admire the vmod from vapage. And there are indeed vape meets in Houston ... that's how I knew the Provari was too big and heavy and looked like my vibrator ... :) ... I already HAVE a vibrator ... altho I don't vape it!

ROTFLMAO!!!! Wow, I will never look at my Provari the same again LOL

And now you can officially make the claim that you "Made a Sailor Blush"

And one other question ... what type tank do you use?

on my Silver Bullet a 8.5 phat tank from Vaporescence, and on my K-go's 3.5 simi home made tanks ( the tubbing I saved from old tanks & the end caps I got from the hardware store !!

You should check out the army tank from jmarkus in the accesories/modder sub forum of the suppliers forum. Its a bottom feeder and vv, and the build quality is great.

+1000

If you wanna try out bottom feeding and VV at the same time. Thing is a beast and has a 3 amp chip. Which means you can use DCC at 6V without some protection circuit preventing you from going above a certain voltage.

And another extremely cool feature of the SGT VV Army Tank is the ability to put a Cartomizer tank of any size or shape on it and not have to lay it down for fear of it toppling over, it is extremely stable when upright.

@Jackiej5407, is there something you feel you're missing in your vaping on your eGo and cartos?

Is the vape not warm enough? the necessary drags too long? going crazy filling? something prettier?
you have a large variety of attys and cartos in different resistance? large variety of juice and some taste burnt?

What you're looking for to find your sweet spot will factor into which mod would make sense for you....:)

Yup, the possibilities are just about endless with this mod.

+1 for nomoreash. I would also try VV vaping. To me, it's the next logical step. I 2nd Krimson Kustom VV evercool mods. They are built with TLC and are evercool, so you can get a nice warm vape while your box stays cool, unlike the MadVapes VV box that I melted, LOL.

I own eleven VV mod boxes that use linear regulators (seven Madvapes VV Boxes, two 1st generation Big Brothers and a Little Sister from Ken's Box Mods, and a Big Splash VV from Shan at Vapecore). I run them with 1.5 ohm dual coils or 1.7 ohm Resurrectors, usually at 4.5 volts, producing 10-11 watts. But even when I use high voltage with them (6+ volts), I've never had a problem with excess heat. Yes, the Little Sister does get warm near the connector/switch after using cranked-up voltage for awhile, but I can't feel any heat with the others, much less actual deforming (melting) of the plastic cases.

I'm not challenging your experience or suggesting that you did something wrong. If your Madvapes box melted, it melted. OK. Sorry to hear it. I have to assume that's unusual, though.

I have one evercool VV, but I don't actually like it as well as the Fairchild LDO linears. Doesn't hit as hard, and has that amp-cutoff thing that aggravates me. Oh well, one person's ceiling is another person's floor. I do agree that the bottom-feeder mods you mentioned are beautiful and well-made.

THIS guy looks beautiful: Buzz Pro
But then again, so does this one: Super T Manufacturing, Innovative manufacturer of electronic cigarette products.
Not to mention THIS one: V-MOD with a wood grain skin.

I don't like a hotter vape ... sometimes my eGo w/resurrector using RY4 juice gets too hot, so I switch to a Boge 2.0 carto. However, the resurrector on the eGo with Hot Cinammon Candy is always just great! So it's very difficult to figure out WHAT voltage on WHAT atty or carto goes best with WHAT juice.

Damn! Just when you think you begin to get it figured out ... you realize you DON'T have it figured!

So that means you like about 5 watts for Cinnamon and 6 watts for RY4, any good 3.7v mod is capable of that easily.

I've always preferred tobacco, spice, and such flavors with a bit more wattage. Fruity or sweets seem better with a little less power applied. Sometimes it's just a matter of letting go of the button a half second sooner....:)

You really have to ask yourself what you want to be better than your ego. We all have different vaping habits. Some people want much more heat or TH than they can get at 3.7 volts. Some people want longer battery life, some want a juice feed system. Once you narrow it down its much easier to get good recommendations.

I knew I liked my ego and I liked my little 14500 box mod (19.99), I bought a cheap 2x14500 box mod that was 5v regulated to try out and realized I 1) didn't like having to buy separate cartomizer/atomizers for it and 2) Didn't like the heat/TH increase with the majority of my 100% and 50/50 VG juices.

So I just got a bigger battery 3.7 volt mod that I knew could handle 1.5 306's without breaking (something that ego's sometimes have problems with..or so I have been told) and I could replace the battery for cheap. If I was buying one today and lost all my current equipment I would probably start with a battery adjustable unit that vapes at 3.7v again, maybe the Don or probably the EmpireMod.

That's just because I have, in my experience, found mod's that can take more than one type of battery are just easier to deal with and I know I can find a battery to bundle into my juice order that will fit in it at most sites. (madvapes may run out of 16340's but its doubtful they will run out of 16340's 14500's and 18350's all at the same time)

Then once I had that I would probably want another wood mod just because I like the looks of them (I don't think I would want one as my only unit however as the box ones can break if thrown from a moving vehicle) maybe a grip

or epipe

but that's just because I like the look of them.

That's just me though and what I vape, if I had to have VV or had to have juice feed or a tank system everything would be different.

I think the next step after an ego should be a VV mod. Personally, I'm planning to get a Buzz Pro. The same guy makes another one called the Infinity Pro that he just came out with, a little cheaper than the buzz pro.

To me, VV is important, because when I've seen polls of people who have VV systems about what voltage is their sweet spot, the results cluster in the 4.0 to 4.75 range. Without a VV type system, you don't get anything in that range. When the batteries determine the voltage, there is a gap from 3.7 to 6.0 where you can't get inside it. There are some mods that regulate to 5.0, but that's also a bit out of the primary "sweet spot" range.

Also, once I get the buzzz pro, I expect to use some kind of large tank as the delivery system. A liquinator or something similar.
