So, I bought a GP 510 a little while back for a friend of mine who wanted to get into vaping. I tried to talk him into an eGo style, but he wanted something more analog-style, so he wanted the 510.

Anyhow, he just gave it back to me because it's dead. Apparently they've been giving him problems for quite some time. So I tried both batteries, and they seem to be doing the same thing. They light up for a few seconds but will not fire up an atty. Light stays lit even after releasing the button, but never fires up the atty. I'm going to give them a charge here for a spell and see what I can find out. I'm not familiar with the 510s myself, so I don't know if maybe that's a normal 510 dead cell thing, or if there are other problems.

What I'm wondering is, if that's not a normal dead battery thing, what could that imply? Or...is it just a normal "your battery's dead" indicator?

Any tips?

Do you sleep? lol, jk

I can send replacements today.

We found a problem with the chargers.
I can send a replacement charger and batteries since yours are far gone now.
We replaced all the chargers with Joye 510 chargers, so the problem is now taken care of.

I do have your addy on file, I can ship there, or PM your friends addy if that would be easier.

You can send it to my house. His family is actually staying with us right now because they got flooded in a pretty bad rainstorm. A stupid, ridiculous rainstorm in the middle of February, when everything is still supposed to be covered in 3 feet of snow. Well, it was - up until the rain melted it all and flooded all the local waterways.

I really appreciate the replacements. I know he can stand some good news right about now. Do you want the dead stuff shipped back?

Coolio:)

Yeah, the sleep is where your brain and body gets rest and repair for the next day.
I need to study some sleep myself.
Averaging about 3-4 hours a night!

Oh, so that's why everyone speaks so highly of it. Studying is largely the problem. I've got a big classload right now so I can barely find the time for anything but. Plus, now we've got more people under the roof so there's always something going on in the house, so it's hard to get much rest.

Good news is I've been getting better sleep, when I manage to sleep, since I switched to vaping. Much fewer occurrences of choking myself awake 100+ times a night (seriously, more than 100 according to the doctors monitoring the sleep study I did). Still, I feel like I'm wasting so much time with sleep.

BUT, I think I'm getting too old to be fighting with the sandman like this. I might have to go up to 6 hours a night.

Not too far ahead of me. I'm still lagging back here at 28. Sometimes, though, I'd swear I was 82. Especially in this weather; it's...it's just stupid. Due to the sleep apnea, though, even 8 hours is more like 3 or 4. It's strange - like I'm living in some sort of waking dream at times. But, again, it is getting better thanks to the switch to vaping from analogs. Still hard to get to sleep or wake up at a regular interval.

Yeah, I abuse nicotine, and especially caffeine. On days without caffeine, I just sleepwalk all day. It's a day full of microsleep. I use 24 mg too, and vape much of the day.

However, I find the stimulants really help with my ADD. I don't take any proper medication so caffeine and nicotine really help me stay on track.

I haven't seen a sleep/breathing doctor in several months now - have dumped analogs since then. Perhaps I should ask to see him sooner than July. It may be wise to discuss a lot of this crap with him.

Other than passing out all day, I definitely like the way things are. I'm focused, I get things done, and I don't waste time with that sleep nonsense.
