So I went to my local vape shop today hoping to buy some lower gauge wire (going from 26 -> 24), unfortunately they don't have any in till tomorrow. Guys at the shop are great and i'm a regular so he gave me some free wire to try, 22gauge gplat. Firstly I like 22Gauge now but not on my rda, I simply don't have the room. Built 9 wraps around a 5mm drill bit (fancied something a little larger). The resistance seems to be jumping around a lot 0.4-0.6. Anyone else expierienced this and does anyone know what i should set this to in steam engine to calculate my coils? Was pure guess work with this one. Also... I need a bigger rda....

Go to wire (under material & profile), and put it as 317L. Gplat is 317L stainless steel welding wire :p Resistance shouldn't be jumping around that much tho :O

5mm ID coils would be a stretch for most 18650 RDA's with 22g, as it'll get really close and probably touch the top cap around the negative posts. I have problems there with 3mm ID coils, so I can imagine adding 2mm more would only make it worse. You'd probably have to get a 26650 to fit something like that :O What RDA are you using?

Freakshow RDA, it required a little bit of nudging to make it not touch anything, got a new micro coil in there at the moment. I kinda like 22g as it just stays where you put it. I do definately need a bigger RDA though, any suggestions? Will invest in an RDA that takes 26650s at some point as well.
