You just said it didn't emit metals.. therefore it doesn't release any oxides that act as an insulation in micro/compressed coils.

Just wondering. I don't watch videos..especially with his seizure provoking style of editing..sorry, low blood sugar....I think....or it may just me. :)

Totally understandable, I worded that weirdly. I ment to say the Manufacture will not tell the consumers what metals they use to composite Gplat. :)

26 gauge,
which one is better?
which one have a lower resistance?
BTW, is there any comparison chart of their resistance in comparison or Kanthal A1? I kinda wanna know what to expect before I'm getting them.

Thanks!

G-Plat has lower resistance than hotwires, but hotwires has better flavor, I actually prefer Royal wires over both since it's lower resistance and has better flavor than the other two IMO. But neither will have good flavor IMO. Although I never used 26 gauge, I only used 22 gauge and 24 gauge and twisted 24 gauge wires of these types.

Royal wire is lower resistance than gplat? Significantly?

I said it's lower than hotwires, it's about the same as g plat. I just feel like I get better flavor with royal wires, but if I had to pick I'd pick kanthal, IMO I get much better flavor and I get the hot vape I like that I can't get with those special wires even at super sub ohm builds.

Hmmmmm, interesting conversation,
I notice no one posting specs & composition data on these wires, something easily accessible for nichrome and kanthol wire, you folks are a trusting sort to believe that this stuff wont kill you

I could be wrong, but my guess is it's already one of the many readily available "resistance wire" alloys already on the market. Someone will eventually let the cat out of the bag and/or figure out what it is.

I agree. Its doubtful that these boutique wire companies are actually having resistance wire manufactured for their specs. Suppliers like pelican, temco, and omega offer plenty of resistance wire alloys besides kanthal and nichrome.

Most on Reddit seem to have reached the conclusion that GPlat Elite is 304ss hobby wire. I'm inclined to agree, based on what I've seen. Look around, you'll find it. Pelican has an MSDS for their 304ss wire, if anyone is interested.

Personally, I plan on ordering a spool of 304ss.. gotta see what's up.

Olay, so I have heard of Gplat in the past but have never really thought about using it. Well today I was at a B&M my friend works at at he gave me about a foot of the Gplat Red 22 gauge. I thought I would at least give it a try. I'm shooting for a dual coil build on a Plume Veil to be at 0.24Ω. I've heard this runs a little bit lower in resistance than kanthal...

Using Steam Engine I got a prediction using 22 gauge kanthal on a 3/32" screwdriver that 9 wraps would produce approximately 0.24Ω but how will it differ on Gplat? Lets find out... After putting it on the ohm meter it registered a 0.12Ω exactly half of what it is supposed to be with kanthal. I absolutely do not feel safe vaping that low, especially since it is drawing 35A off of my batteries (VCT5's).

Tried another build around a 3.25mm wrapping post... 0.13Ω no thank you. Took one coil out of the dual coil build for 0.26Ω and wicked it up. Vaped on it a little, it had a weird taste. I just couldn't get this stuff to work for me, I'm fine with my kanthal.
