Not sure how big I want to get into DIY, but I've been thinking about it, at least from the standpoint of having some nic on hand in case the FDA gets all regulatory in the future.

Anyways, what popped into my head as being handy to have around was a graduated cylinder. I remember those from high school chemistry class. But searching the DIY forum, I find only a few people mention using them.

Any reason why you wouldn't use one? I'm thinking mainly for the PG/VG components of a 20ml and bigger recipe.

I use one. Generally when I mix, I make a ton. So I'll make up 100 ml of my base liquid. The cylinders are very handy for big measurements like that. Just make sure you get one that is marked in single increments, not every 5, 10 or 20 ml. That way, if you need 27 ml of PG say, you can measure that amount.

Then I just syringe 5, 10, or 30 ml (whatever) of my base into a bottle, adding requisite flavors.

Onestopdiyshop has 10 & 50ml ones. I have the 10ml one and it's handy. They also have a pipette pump, which I've never heard of before. Anyone ever use one?

I have the 2ml pipette & pump, and it's great when experimenting. Much more accurate than "drops", so once you figure out your mix you can scale it up to larger quantities easily. I can experiment with very small quantities, usually less than 1ml of all ingredients combined. The pipette is accurate to 0.02ml.

Sounds good. I think I'll have to get one of them there thangs!
