I am not at home so this is based on memory and may not be 100% correct.

The original Magma had some flaws and they recalled them. Due to the clones being 1:1 they also had the same flaws. I believe it had something to do with the copper pin being exposed in the juice well and something else. Anywho the clones were released before the originals were recalled. So I am guessing batch 1 was version 1 which was recalled. Version 2 would be the re released version with the flaws fixed.
I'm guessing mine is a V2. It looks like this on the inside.

when I started smoking again I found that ultra lights was all I could handle and I'm thinking that an rda is for those that like a stronger vape and or were use to stronger cigs..does that sound right??
I was smoking ultra lights for over 10 years (of the over 35 years) to reduce the morning hacking before I started vaping.
Some of the vapers at work (I'm the only dripper) take smaller hits than I do to try my flavor.
There's one guy (that vapes with CE4s on an ego) that always says "That's just wrong. Let me try it" when he sees me put out a big cloud.

Dripping in RDA was just the next level of vaping for me.

Dripping is a personal preference and I find for myself and almost every single person I encounter, once they try dripping and get past the new way of vaping and the coil building part. They find a whole new world and the pleasure of vaping is enhanced greatly. I was so anti mech mod and dripping that I find it amusing how far my opinion changed once I did in fact take the small leap.

I wish everyone would at least give dripping a chance. just my two cents,

RML
I completely agree with that.

Given your experience with rebuilding i have to say "that is awesome and I would love to see how you do it. I love to learn new things." Adding to that though in my experience and pretty much the whole SoCal cloud chasing scene....cleros do not make for great flavor or clouds...they make for a decent experience and a convenience of experience. Now I have found i am among a tiny minority on this board, but if you visit any brick and mortar around my parts and ask for an ego pen of clearomizers there will be a snickering of the crowd of patrons in the vape bar. Not that they are rude but most have moved on to the next level in the evolution that is vaping.

But remember, people laughed at Noah as well...then...they all died.. hahah. To me, as long as you are not smoking I am happy, but if you are asking if there is another level to this all...there is. but any level you enjoy that keeps you off of smokes is pretty cool to me.

Ok one last example before I go home and eat dinner with my misses....I also own a sandwich shop. People come in all the time and compare things saying oh is this like subway or how come this inst like that...I only want to not be hungry and pay as little as possible.. Nothing wrong with not wanting to be hungry, but you cant compare the quality of the experience to say a Jason deli or to a new york 18 buck a sandwich, sandwich. They might both be sandwiches, but they do not perform the exact same functions. While one satisfies your belly ache and nothing much more than that, the other satisfies your belly, your taste buds, your friends envy you for eating at the better place, you do not take a date to subway to impress her, or McDonald. Vaping is like that. There are just different aspects, I wish you would try dripping. I have never had a single person go oh hey "I am going to try dripping, yeah I tried it I hated it I went back to an ego c twist" lol

RML

Around here we have one shop where everyone behind the counter is dripping, but doesn't sell RBAs.
The other two shops cater more towards the drippers.

Now you made me hungry. What's for breakfast?

Idk about the issue. I have evods and ce6s and iclear 30's. I vape hard when I do vape and i burn wicks alot even with full tanks. I read from someone on the forum that they remove one of the strings to make things flow better in some tanks. I do not have any experience with rebuilding evods or clearomizers so I cant really make subtle adjustments to the setup.

All this non mech talk has my eyeing my SVD and grabbing my old setup for some fun. Just remade the Movie theater Lemonade we used to carry(removed due to separation issues of the lemon) Trying out a slightly different recipe. Any one like lemonade? Even though no one ever complained about the slight separation, it still bothered me to have it on the market that way. Though at level where it does not separate it was way to bland. I will know in about two weeks if this flavor is a winner or not. Right now .....too harsh fresh made.

RML
I started rebuilding with Kanger T3s (the original not the easier T3Ss) & Protank IIs to get hotter coils with cotton wicks.
Take a fresh Evod coil (once you use it it's hard to get the silica out) & yank the silica. Replace with cotton & you'll get better wicking. Cotton can be replaced as needed.

I like lemonade. In fact my Magma now has a blackberry lemonade in it now.

I've seen some juices with slight separation issues & I've seen one juice that had major separation anxsiety to the point where the flavors wouldn't stay mixed & you would get one or the other

You put it on a real ohm checker?

Pull those pre builts out and twist up your own. Have the guy at work give you a 10 minute tutorial on safety with the battery, the wire, and all the basics. There is a great wire building section on the board here that will give you an idea of all the different gauges and the length and what they will ohm at if you follow the guide. It is on ECF and i was the one who asked the question. Someone replied with the noobs guide in excel spread sheet for me.

About 3 to 5 bucks for someone to build your coil and set you up correctly is about fair. Watch what they do they first time and then ask questions about it. You will really only need it once in person if you watch a few good youtube videos. I am obviously a RIP trippers fan. He is a little odd ball but he explains things pretty decent.

Last resort or even a first resort. Post a picture here. A clear picture please, of your setup in question and one of us will help you out.

When I teach someone how to make a coil they watch me make one then I watch them make one

I got an email saying my Elfwick (bought from them direct since price was the same but shipping was cheaper) will be here Tuesday & they said
"Hi Randall, im dropping this order off at the PO in a few minutes, I sent you an extra pack of wick since I just started a new sale and didnt want you feel left out. Please DO follow the instruction sheet in the package; the short of it is to use LESS material for a wick than you would with cotton. Im going to get my sammich now, im SO EXCITEDEDEDED :) elf "

That's me both for teaching and learning things. Hands on and actually doing it sticks a lot better than anything else.

I figure on getting with the guy at work after I get back from my trip. Until then my tanks are will do just fine - not in any rush.

I make a large base of vg and nic and refrigerate it when I make a flavor I take out my base and stir with an electric stirrer for a long time and make a small batch using a syringe to measure and drops too...some of my batches after steeping just don't have the pop I want so I add to them and steep again...I now have a good grape and a strawberry banana going...but in the morning I like a not too sweet tobacco. I can't make that one though..it never turns out right..

I am starting to really like dripping, myself. I just rebuilt my tobh and it's really nice. I was hesitant to start dripping for some odd reason but I like it when I am home. I don't drip and drive, you see. While out and about I use my SVD with my kayfun or nautilus mini or even my mini protank. And each of my juices usually make it into all of them at some point :) I really like comparing the difference in flavor.
