I though I would post this because there's a lot of debate about the Grand Vapor products and there clones being so close to the "real thing". Just to get it out the way I have a Sentinel/Trident from Grand Vapor and a sentinel/trident from fast-tech err I use too I sold my "genuine" products as I was strapped for cash at the time. My suggestion is if your short on cash get the clone there's no need to waste the cash and get the real one. Get more juice instead because that's really the key to vaping you can have a $300 mod and no juice or a $20 mod and $280 worth of juice.
I only say this because I know that Grand Vapor products are outsourced and manufactured in China by the same people that make the clones. IE the clone are the same product just rejects from Grand Vapors quality control. A genuine Grand Vapor product is not going to preform any better then the "clone". Now there are some differences between the two. From what I understand they outsourced the machining to a Chinese manufacturer and they ship them to Grand Vapor where they take it sand down and polish out all the machining marks, silver-plate the contacts, and basically fine tune and clean up the device.
Long story short the Grand Vapor "clones" are a 1:1 copy/reject from the same factory. This why the treads on the clons are a hit or miss and the treads on the GV products are so tight. Now is the price of the Grand Vapor product justifiable yes in a way once you factor in they have to have them shipped to them, then theres the cost of silver-plating, labor cost of cleaning up the finish, etc. Then shipping them out to retailers. And of course they still need to make a profit off the product. That being said if you have the cash and you really like the design then by all means buy the GV version and support the designer/creators.
