I've read so much hype about this juice and got a sample with a hardware trade today. It smells just like capella vanilla custard. Has anyone else noticed this? I haven't tried it yet. I haven't vaped any "store bought" juice in over a year. For a while I was vaping capella vanilla custard mixed with some cookie flavoring but it started to be too sickly sweet and I changed over to a peanutbutter based mix.

I was looking for a recipe because GVC is always out of stock. The most common one I found was
15% Cap vanilla custard
2% TPA dulche de leche
And then some said 2% EM and some said 1-2 drops per ten ml.

I haven't tried it yet, waiting for the VC to be delivered. If you make it I'd love to hear if it's close!

I've got it in my kayfun now (the grant's vanilla custard) .. it's a very strong vanilla custard, I like my diy mix of capella vanilla custard mixed with some cookie flavor much better. This is too strong and sweet for me, I diluted it with some unflavored to try to tone it down. It sure tastes like it's got capellas in it. I'm glad I tried it.. I don't think I'll be buying any though.

I'd rather mix my own version.

Grant had posted his recipe a long while back (before his juice reached cult status). Word has it that it was, in fact, Capella Vanilla Custard with very little else. He has since removed any trace of the post and fanboys of GVC protect it with fervor. Most who make a custard using Capella say it is exactly like GVC. I've never had GVC, but I can't stand Capella VC. There's a distinct back-flavor that sure ain't custard. I can detect it in most custard flavors and it's off-putting to me. So many people love the stuff, it is quite vexing. I rant. The short of it is, yes, it is safe to say that Capella VC is the base for GVC.

hey donnah, so glad to see this post. I found it through a google search because I just ordered some capella VC.

I've been hearing so much about the stuff I had to try to find the recipe.

I also haven't bought juice in 1.5 years (wow just did the math)/

DO you remember how much % you liked?

I usually like cap flavors around 12% but I find it easier if someone has already found a nice starting number.

Just ordered some Capella's VC, Caramel & Sweet Watermelon. I also ordered some Mt Baker Vapor Bavarian Cream, Sweet Cream & Dulce De Leches. With the flavors/sweeteners I already have I think I'll be able mix up some really good juices, I have high hopes for the Capella's VC, Ive heard its REALLY good stuff. Ive been using Ella's Gourmet Flavor Drops VC & its not too bad at all, definitely ADV worthy however its lacking a certain creamy/silkiness, I'm hoping the Capella's VC will come through in that regard. If anyone can recommend any recipes with the flavors Ive listed I'd love to hear them. If I come up with anything note worthy I'll post the recipe here. Thanks fellow vapers, take care, Merry Christmas & VAPE ON!!

Ella's and Capella are the same flavor. Can you cancel that order?

I love Capella flavors but you might need to put something in with it to make it silky. . .mix in some Dulce de Leche.

From the Recipe Forum (sub-forum of this one) - here ya go! http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-liquid-recipes/475332-grants-vanilla-custard.html

We made one of the versions above (7.5% CAP VC and 2% Dulce de Leche TFA) - and it is WONDERFUL (we've never had Grant's though). Too bad we won't be able to vape it, cuz it's a throat-lung ripper to us :( Apparently Capella's VC is known to be irritating to quite a few folks - so vape/mix wisely.

And here's another thread on Vanilla Custard http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-liquid-recipes/431171-stevos-vanilla-custard.html
