Watermarks can be removed (just takes a little time, some more than others)! Of course it might be easier to buy rights to it if they offer just that one image versus buying a "package".

One thing to keep in mind with Chuck designs is that most of the time I think they'd look best if it blends seamlessly around the Chuck. This design doesn't readily allow for that, and that's ok, but as a general rule I'd default to seamless.

I don't own a mod nor have I ever seen one in person so can someone with a Chuck chime in on the seamless aspect?

BTW, the base image I used has the button location more or less centered and I couldn't line up the arrow without having "energy drink" hidden. In real life I'd definately line up the arrow with the button!
Now THAT is RAD... how about a mopar purple with the ZEX logo? LoL

the thing with paying for the image is so that the maker does not get sued.. I draw for a living so when i put 2-3 weeks into drawing a picture and it is found being used on products or web sites ext.. web its asked to be removed or payed for use. if they do not do either then it goes to court..

if i was to see one of my images on a product and I did not sell for personal use or give permission I would end up suing the person that sold the product..

with a lot of ppl they will let you use the image for free as long as it is not mass produce and the image is not the selling item

Yeah I was just saying to bad it wasn't one that was freely available. I don't know how many people actually buy graphics to put on their Chucks. I thought it was an amusing little character. I agree on the seamless thing being the best way to go. Although some are done without like these:

Completely understandable Lab. I don't know how most people go about it but I have only been posting things found freely available on the web that are just for ideas for people to use. The only reason they aren't linked straight from the original pages is because many would end up disappearing that way.

The one I have set aside for my own, but not 100% settled on yet, I have every intention of asking the original artist for permission to use if I do indeed end up wanting to go with that one. It's just so well done that it deserves that respect.

Does anyone know offhand if I would be able to use the MAC Hello Kitty logo, or would it violate a copyright??

ok as far as copyright laws for images go.. this photo above is now copyrighted to you.. by taking a photo you in law created a new piece using a different medium .. so if you edit that photo in photoshop then it is legal as of now atleast..
