From personal experience, it looks like the chart is biased for safety not performance. I'd use it as guideline not gospel. Stuff I run usually falls under the purple shades in that chart.

PS: Have you tried running some of the "just right" settings on there? 2.8 ohm on a 3.4v, I don't know (think 2.8 ohm vivi nova head + ego regulated battery)

Well, I've only got a fixed voltage (3.7) unit now, but I am seriously coveting a VV, just so I could find out if some of these temperature ranges make a superior vape. I agree, though, anything above 2 flat on this 3.7 is so cool its almost like suckin air. What I like about the chart is the visual factor gives "noobs to the vapor doob" at least a vague idea on matching hardware.

Then there's the pg/vg ratio and how that affects the vape as well as even the intake apparatus (from tailpipin' it to a drip tip to carty or carto etc)

So,if nothing else the chart does address how warm or cool the vape will be.

But I really do see your point :)
