Started vaping July 21, 2014. 0 Cigarettes for 53 days. Thank you SmokeyJoe for welcoming to ECF. Mostly interested in tobacco flavors that taste good at 0 - .3 nicotine. Currently vaping V2 Sahara, Congress in V2 EX Blanks on V2 Shorty, Standard, manual, and Shorty Auto e-cigs which I'm constantly recharging in rotation. Recently tried some 0 Menthol even though I've never been a menthol cigarette fan to change up the mix b/c my taste buds got bored giving rise to a desire to smoke.
I got even more frustrated with flavor as my desire to smoke nagged at me. After much research thinking I need an inexpensive not too big, nice looking battery w/ following features: VV, possible pass thru, compatible with a mini glass tank 1.5ml to 2ml, clearomizers that don't leak, taste burnt, clog up if I want more VG vs PG e-liquid, able to chain vape if need be w/o burning coil head and don't waste e-juice.

Don't want a box or .... looking battery. Either brushed chrome, black, or brushed midnight blue. My eye catchers:
1.ITaste CLK?
2.Cool Fire1? No VV or VW but auto adjusts ohms for tank, cartridge, don't know if it has pass thru ability, consistent voltage?
3.Vamo?
4.Ego Twist?
5.Dial A Volt compatible w/ Ex Blanks ... but not a deal breaker, V4L wants a little too much for this???

Which one can we put a mini glass tank on? All these can be obtained on ebay at gd $ not that I know what I should pay...FYI at this time, I'm not looking to vape any herbs or oils. I just want to be able to sit back and enjoy my Congress, Sahara, and explore some flavors. Flavor being the operative word. I'd appreciate any links to what owners' experience with these vaping units has been, specs, tutorials, suggestions for a vaping newb. :2c:

Welcome Fstop :)

I second gandy's recommendation of an iTaste VV3. It's a "square-pencil" looking thing. Not a box or an "overly round longish cylindrical" mod. eGo Twist/Vision Spinner have longer battery lives than the VV3, but the VV3 can be used as a "pass-through" (i.e. you can vape while you're charging.) The eGo/Vision Spinners cannot.

The eGo/Spinner/VV3 all have dual-threading. "eGo" and 510 threading styles. You can use a mini Protank 2 (for a glass clearomizer) which is eGo-threaded. You can also use EVOD tanks (some are polycarbonate; the EVOD2's are glass, I believe.) The Nautilus Mini is a 510=threaded clearomizer tank (also glass composition).

So, lots of options. Form factor, battery life, toppers - all need to be considered. It's all about your personal preference.

Same scenario with flavors. I personally don't care for tobacco flavors. I like fruits, vanillas, desserts, etc. You most certainly have to sample until you find what you like....

Best wishes

I'd suggest the mini Aspire Nautilus with BVC coils for your tank, it is glass. If you're looking for something simple the Twist or Spinner are as simple as it gets and I'd suggest getting them in as high a mAh as you can for battery life. You'll need two. There is a new Vision Pass-through that's out which means you can vape while it's plugged in and unplug and go. I don't know how heavy a vaporer you are but I'd suggest at least two batteries, back-ups are a must in case something happens to your primary. It's too bad you don't want a box mod because the MVP2 would solve your problem of needing 2 batteries because of power. It comes with a 2600mAh battery. That's all I'll say about that since you're not interested. Well one more thing, it's not as big as it appears.

Ps. Electronic Cigarettes, Vaping Supplies, and Tasty Juice - Vaping Me is a reasonably priced online source for twists and spinners. As for tobacco flavored juices I too liked V2's flavors. I started out on them but they became a bit costly and I started DIY'ing my own. I haven't really looked back since and haven't vaped tobacco flavors since my first 6 months of vaping. I'm into dessert or fruit flavors atm.

Thanks everyone,
Those of your that voted for the iTazte vv v3 won!!! I'm psyched!!!
Looked at the iTaste VV3 & like features offered. *One feature stands out and is important is its compatibility with 808D -1 mentioned in features: "2. The battery has no threading. But it is compatible with most cartomizers with different threadings such as 510,808D,901,RN4081 tec, because it uses unique magnet technology to combine battery and its special adapter together. You can change adapters easily anytime.", but not at sale sites. I would like to use ex - blank clearos already owned but require lower voltage, which is what started this hunt for a VV battery free using clearo, tanks from only one manufacturer.
The 808D threading compatibility is worked out with a battery adopter for 510 to 808 ;) Simple, I can use my Ex-blanks.
Now I'm having difficulty finding an online retailer.

I'm also a 48 year old ex-smoker and wonder why you dislike the box mod form factor? Is this just pure aesthetics?

I went the way of the tube (marital aid looking devices lol) and found them not as pocket friendly as a box mod. You would be surprised how good a box mod feels in the hand and how small they actually are. Personally I will never purchase a tube mod ever again (well unless it's super freaking fantastic and makes me breakfast in the morning!). Enough said.

I'm not allowed to post link because I' new. Just do a search w/ 5V itaste vv with 808D option and u can see it on vapor supplies and pbdragon ? lol at nicetcu, looking at MVP pictures don't look that big at all. Maybe, since the whole point is quitting cigarettes y not a box to break the cig habit? hmmm Ok gandymarsh, DingerCPA, DetraMental, Vape Me seems to be out of the MVP2...?

Going with iTaste vv V3 from 101 vape. Thank you all so much for your support. 0 cigarettes for 56 days :) My choice was based on functions that I will utilize, the I vape mostly at home so the Pass - Through is a great feature, 800mah is sufficient for how much I vape should I go out there are my V2 Cigs...Should the iTaste fail another less feature laden vv battery Pass-Though can be obtained should I continue to vape. I'll post back a little personal review. I'm excited, didn't do the priority mail.... Texas is just 2 days mail truck drive away from Cali. lol

Thanks Warpigs, Black Sabbath made smile saw them in Bedifeilt Hanovor, Germany wow...in the late 60's.
DingerCPA, initially the box shape of MVP 2 put me off because I'm still in cigarette smoking mode, new to vaping so more comfortable with an e-cig like the ones I am currently using. However, the all the features & large battery capacity made it more appealing as I took a closer look. Right now though I wouldn't use it as a battery for say my iphone, cameras, or any such thing. So why have a feature that can contribute to the unit malfunctioning that I currently have no use for. Totally agree with the whole phallic symbolization and prefer aesthetically prefer a mod that I can palm like the iclick, cool fire 1 without the telescope pc., vamo was appealing, but nothing in the cigar length 1600 mah like, at this time its over kill for me. lol

nicetucu, I not 48 yrs. old, I smoked for 48 years. 48 was a long time ago. But then I don't subscribe to age, I believe in relativity, fluidity of matter. Its all but a blink of an eye ;)

gandymarsh, I did use 101 vape so thank you for that, as well, but I'm not a serious vapor yet because I love the puff counter so I can see when I have vaped to what is equivalent of a cigarette. I don't want to vape endlessly as I do now. Just wanted to respond to every one for steering in the right direction.

Now I have a question regarding the significance of ohms designation as resistance levels in tanks? I love the Aspire Natulaus Mini but will settle for the Protank 2 mini till I'm able I'm sure my tobacco flavors will taste great in the Protank 2 mini & I don't want to pour 5ml of e-juice into a tank. I like to Flavor Hop...

The VV3 is easy to use and works well with most toppers. Buy 2 as you will need a backup. Vape 101 is the place to purchase and you won't wait more then 2 days to get them. Innokin iTaste VV (V3) Express kit - 101 Vape

Topper I would suggest this one: Genuine ASPIRE Nautilus Mini w/ BVC coils - 101 Vape

or this one: Kanger Aerotank V2 - 101 Vape

In any event enjoy being smokeless.

What ohm level for the Nautilus Mini? Seems to come as 1.6 & 1.8 this is for the iTaste VV (V3) , thank you.

Well, in my first reply, I did recommend the itaste VV V3 since you stated that you didn't like box mods. I posted the link for the MVP because I thought you were leaning towards it.

No matter, I think you will be happy with the VV after all, it's the same as the MVP except for the battery size/shape and the output port for charging other devices.

All of us here are just happy when someone gives up the stinkies. We don't care what you use (as long as you are using a safe system) to do it.
