These worthless money makers may as well be working for the FDA E-Cig PR Department.

I know, but who was it that printed the flyers to hand out indiscriminately?

"Here, hand one of these to everybody. When they come by, stick one of the pipe bombs in their face"; right?

What really bought this home for me was that most of the "vape shops" in my town have over half of their inventory invested in that cheap-as-chite glassware that was depicted in this story.

Meanwhile the vendor ( Cerealogy ) whose juice was shown in the piece, is closed for business as " we make changes to the line " !? Wonder if they got a call from the lawyers representing Pepsico, Kellog and General Mills !

As a vape shop employee, here in the AZ area, we do have mall kiosks, "But", kiosk vendors are not allowed to demonstrate or allow the usage of vape products, its a buy and role the crap shoot as to what you get, as most the mall owners do not allow vaping inside the premises. 2nd, have a teenager come into the shop, yeah I want to look at some vape pens and drops man, answer - sure kid, got ID showing you are over 18?? Simplest of questions to ask, yes I get a lot of 18 to 25 customers just looking at them I feel they are 15 or so, they get bent out of shape, man this shop never used to card us man, answer - I'm not the other employees, I'm just covering my own behind from legal action and the police, don't look 30 I'm carding you. 3rd would be the lack of knowledge, this is only my second day working here, uhhh, hello, 2nd day and she is flying solo, what the heck?

4th, are they inspecting their tester equipment out daily??? This is the biggest safety issue, lack of proper instruction, knowledge, and technical ability. How long has the test battery been in rotation, 2, 3, 4, 6months, more?? Tester atomizers, checked for loose connections daily, were they cartomizers or cartidges, if a tank when was the last reading on the coil, RDA how low was it built. To little detail, sucks the kid was the recipient of this, but it could just as well been an adult.

Maybe they took the money and Ran. Facebook account is also locked out.

Another unnecessary Product infringement for profit.

    When is enough, ENOUGH? :grr:

You do NOT say, we do not market to Kids and allow product like this on the shelves of an OPEN to general public KIOSK.

Sorry if I am showing my Age, I'd like Vaping around for anyone of adult age in the future.

Okay, Twice I have read this:
this is only my second day working here, uhhh, hello, 2nd day and she is flying solo, what the heck

Listen to the Video of the incident.
The Girl/lady in the PHONE Interview said it was Her second day.........wait for it..........and SHE WAS NOT THERE when it happened:glare:
The articles all say a GUY handed the 14 year old the device.

Lets not get fixated in the little lady ;)

Greed has nothing on willful ignorance.

    This!!!
Obviously the clerk wasn't trained properly, obviously the clerk didn't understand the equipment, most likely put two non-compatible pieces of equipment together, and obviously the clerk didn't understand the laws.
It's a sad deal, but lots of things went sideways here, the kid shouldn't have even been looking at the gear, the clerk should have been trained better, and they shouldn't have been able to put two non-compatible pieces together! Handing out the flyers, meh, they canvas everything anymore! How many pieces of garbage are you handed in the mall each trip? How much crap is stuck under your windshield wiper in the parking lot? How many people come to your house trying to give you crappy fliers for junk you don't want? That's just how everyone does it now days, make as much noise as you can and hope someone hears a little of it.
But I don't see greed here, and I don't much care for the "pipe bomb" reference. Cell phones have just as much, if not more, stored energy as any e-cig, but as long as they are treated properly they don't blow up. Same as a laptop battery pack, seen the video's when those go south? It's scary! The clerk did something completely wrong to cause this accident, and that's due to ignorance and lack of training, nothing more.

I caught onto that she was not there at time of the incident, I am talking about proper training after the fact, 2nd day and she alone and solo selling vape related products. This mall kiosk owner has a house of cards stacked one on top of the other, an incident as serious as this and you are leaving trainees flying solo, "Hello", isn't that a very real possibility of what caused this issue in the first place? An incident as this and no management present at the location of the incident? Improperly trained employees, and improper management, that is my point, I agree enough is enough, we need to drive these just in the business for the money dip sticks out of business, just for safety reasons alone.

Lack of training in this type of industry is a greedy negligence that plays out as a disaster told to the public at every opportunity.

Most liquor stores and bars seem to have this figured out these days.

KIOSK are generally laced with incredibly High Profit items, at least when it comes to E-cigs. I have seen the $159.00 kits with 2 510 cig-a-like batteries and a cheap charger.<about $12 worth of bargain basement equipment>

I have a Feeling there was a Mechanical Mod, Battery and non compliant Tank involved.
    Popular Products make profitable sales.

    Probably.

The husband of a friend of mine, who just started vaping, went into a shop where I used to go; the owner had a glass piece in a display he decided to start selling. My friend's husband paid over $100 for an Aspire Quest Mini Kit; still has no idea about TC.

Some young girl sold it to him, the owner mixes juice off the shelf. This place, IMO, was the last bastion of a vape store for miles around.
