Hello, I'm kami and i am new to the ECF community.

I started with a kit from GreenSmoke....I know ..... poor choice....bad kami ....no vodka!
The adventure with GreenSmoke started in mid November and here I sit one month later with two poorly performing batteries and one hooka usb thingy that does work ok in my automobiles. The carteriges are sort of hit and miss....some last a wee bit longer than others.....some just do not seem to have any of the stuff (juice?) inside... and a few had an important hole still covered. Well you live and learn and sometimes you don't get kissed.

So i peeked into this forum, read a bunch of threads and became overwhelmed with the amount of information here.
8504GDS6372 battery or a 453655869AAA filter or a 46JHD565657 widget gidget....... Ray, crossing the vapor stream ..... bad? I did learn however, that using the liquid and filling your own thingy seems to be the smart way to go.

I started purusing the vendors vetted by forum users and decided on a Joye eGo tank Kit in'a Case from The Vapor Room. (I like their logo) Chose the 1000mah battery option and several bottles of the liquid.

Now what i really want is a battery that will last me 4-5 hours and the literature suggested to me that the eGo does.
Am i correct or will I be whining again in a few weeks?

...the batts should last 10+hours(each)...as to the rest, spend some time researching to find the best way to get the most out of your tanks...would also advise to pick up some low resistance Boge 2 ohm cartomizers for when you get tired of fiddling with the tanks...oh yeah, WELCOME, Happy Vaping and Merry Christmas........

The batteries will perform wonderfully. The tank system...... not so much in my experiance. I HIGHLY recomend you pick up a 5 pack of Boge 2.0 Cartomizers (about7$) to go on thouse batteries. You will have much less hassle getting them to vape consistantly. Great choice on ego kit though they are very good at long term performance.

uh ..... huh?

LOL . . . I thoroughly understand . . . this is only my second day on ECF, but I'm starting to catch on and so will you. The more tutorials you can view the easier IMO. Brands, system names, etc. still mean little to me but I now know the difference between a cartomizer and a atomizer/cartridge!

That's with single coil cartos. With dual coil cartos 100 mah= 1/2 hour vaping. Also understand at 50% charge battery's performance falls off a cliff unless you have high quality batts.

BTW, thanks to your post I now have a little understanding of "mah"! Another milestone!! LOL

Kami, when you get your kit, you will have about 3 parts to it. The battery -- the bottom part with the button that you hold down when you take a hit. Then there will be an atomizer that screws on top of the battery. Then there will be a tank that you fill with the juice that goes inside the atomizer. The atomizer has a little pin type thingie in it and when you push the tank onto that, it will puncture the bottom of the tank and the juice will flow into the atomizer. A lot of people (myself included) have this system but got tired of the atomizer/tank part for various reasons. Either it didnt wick well into the atomizer, or the flavor wasnt strong enough, or it leaked or something. You might like this set up just fine. The guys are saying that you should maybe purchase some Boge cartomizers or other cartomizers in case you find you dont like the atomizer/tank part of the set up. You just buy a pack of cartomizers that will fit a 510 threading (which is what your eGo battery is), and then instead of the atomizer and tank, you just fill the cartomizer with juice and screw that on the end of the battery. The cartomizers are inexpensive because they are meant to be pretty disposable; when they stop performing up to par you can either toss them out or you can wash them out and reuse them until they stop functioning, then you buy new ones. The resistance of the cartomizers is also important (MadJack said to get LR cartos). LR is low resistance and you will get basically a better, hotter hit from them than you will with a high resistance carto.

Good luck!
