SO now that I am browsing websites selling all different parts and options I have another question..What is the difference between manual action and automatic? Does one have benefits over the other? How about a short battery over a long battery, does this actually alter the lifespan of a battery charge?

Manual batteries are sealed and won't be destroyed if there's a leak. Autos don't have that feature. But they are more like a regular looking cig.

Like others I'd recommend something bigger then cigarette sized batteries. You can adapt far easier then you'd think. Many of us started with the 'look-a-likes' and soon switched to the larger, sharpie sized batteries. They last 2-5 times longer and actually spend less time recharging then the small ones. They also provide more voltage, so more vapor and TH, as well as having more choices of accessories.

But if your positive you want a cig sized one there are a few out there. But they get to be more expensive over the long haul. Batteries don't last as long. Prefilled cartridges are about the most expensive way to vape. And very limiting in both flavor and nicotine levels.

Hey there. I'm pretty new to vaping myself (2 months analog free now) and started off just where you are now with the exception of needing VG juice. My hubby and I both got V4L's kits and have been pretty happy with them. I don't vape constantly throughout the day (maybe a couple of hits an hour and then a 10 min "smoke break" every hour and a half or so) and my batteries last most of the day. I just make sure they are both charged before I head off to work. I got one manual and one auto just to try them out. Turns out I like the manual better.

The pre-filled cartos on the other hand have been much more hit and miss. The flavors are just OK and you are much more limited. For Christmas my hubby bought me some juice and blank cartos from a local vendor and I love them. They are easily my favorite present. I didn't think I would like filling my own either, but it's really not a problem. We just ordered a sampler pack of juices from Juicy Vapor.com and I believe they offer PG, VG or a blend but I can't speak as to how a VG blend will work in whatever equipment you end up buying.

At some point we may be ready to switch to a larger setup, but for now this has been a great starting point for us. Good luck to you!
