Good Afternoon Folks,

Well, I have been sneaking around this forum for a few days and reading many of the very informative threads and posts here.

The E-Cig has been on my mind for a few months now after having tried a few puffs of my friends EJoy device..

I am a nicotine addict. Not proud of it, But it is what it is. I have been smoking and using nicotine for 20+ years.

I currently use:
Analogs.. LOL ( Love this term)
Cigars
Pipe tobacco
and an occasional Chew or Dip.

I really no longer enjoy cigarettes. But I feel I still need the nicotine at this time.
I want to give up the cigarettes as a primary form of nicotine administration, But still be able to enjoy an occasional cigar or pipeful of a quality leaf tobacco.
The "dips and chew" need to go too.

Despite my cigar and pipe use a throughout the week, I have not found that either provide me with that "instant" Vitamin N blast I require at times. Sometimes the "chew" will, But I really don't care for it. It's just a dosage method.

That being said, I feel 100% ready to take the plunge into PV world.
I just wanted to educate myself and do it right before investing money and time into something that may not work for me, or may not meet my needs.

I have truely enjoyed reading some of the supportive posts between the members here, and this seems like place for me to be while I try to make the transition .

I look forward to being a contributing member and sharing my experience with you folks who may have already treaded where I now seek to go.

Peace and God Bless to you all.
See you on the forums.
:)

- Vin

Welcome and congrats on the decision. Lottsa PVs to choose from depending on your needs and wallet. When choosing remember with certain PVs there are upgrade "limits" and most eventually end up buying multiple kits before they finally find the right fit. I chose immediately to purchase a Mod because I was serious about quitting analogs.
Batts Info:
100 mah= 1 hr vaping before recharging batteries.
some PVs will not work very well with certain dual coil cartomizers.
All in all I believe it will work for you and I wish you the Best of Luck.

Welcome to ECF! Your def making the right decision by switching to PVs. Alot of people find that switching is easier than they ever could have imagined, and vaping is truely enjoyable. Many people end up making it a hobby as well, ie. Buying many different PVs, trying different attys and cartos, making your own juices, and playing around with the 1000s of different juices available. All of that really does make it easier to quit because instead of dreading how your going to quit, you actually get to ENJOY quitting! One of the hardest things is prob just to make the choice to switch to ecigs, and it looks like your already on your way, and I can almost guarantee you wont regret it.
Goodluck with everything and I wish you the best!

I see your from the Poconos! I live fairly close to there and have a season pass to Blue Mt and went snowboarding there on Sunday. Good to see a soon to be vaper in the area!

Welcome to ECF and feel free to ask any questions you might have. You will get all kinds of answers, and will hopefully be able to figure out what PV will be able to give you what you need on a consistent basis. There are not really any wrong answers, just different preferences.
yeah,i agree.

Welcome and congratulations on deciding to make the switch from analogs! I'm certain some more of the forum veterans will be along shortly to help point you in the right direction for your first PV, but I'd like to throw out a couple of simple suggestions based on your use of pipes and chewing tobacco. I've seen sections on some of the vendors sites for e-pipes, but as I was never a pipe smoker I never looked too far into it. If you find yourself enjoying vapeing you may also be able to switch from pipe tobacco to an e-pipe if you so chose. One thing to keep in mind is to buy from a reputable vendor and make sure the parts are high quality with a respectable mAh rating as an e-pipe would be more of a specialty device with more limited access to replacement or upgrade parts. Also, have you looked into some of the different brands of snus as a possible replacement for the chewing tobacco? From what I have read it sounds like a much safer alternative and has helped people address their lingering cravings for tobacco.

Welcome to ECF! I was going to say pretty much the same thing as Myriad about the e-pipes. I also personally never got into pipe tobacco but I've heard good things about these two e-pipe companies and figured I'd post the links for you to check them out. Hand-Crafted ePipes, custom made personal vaping devices from ePipeMods.com ...more than just an eCig and Jazz cartopipe the first Cartomizer Pipe seem to be quite popular from what I've heard. But as far as your everyday vape, most would recommend starting with an ego kit. I personally use Welcome to Clouds Of Vapor for my hardware but there are plenty of other reputable vendors that sell ego kits. Best of luck and welcome to the world of vaping!
