Hows it going? Semi new to vaping, made the plunge about 2 months ago to committing to vaporizing only, and cutting those nasty cigarettes out of my life.
A little background, I was a PAD smoker of the Newport variety. I guess I should add "menthol" though I was one who thought the "reds" Newport came out with were blasphemy. I bought my first E-cig back in '09, it was an automatic "e cig" brand that was shaped like an analog and you had to buy cartos for at like, 12 or 15 dollars a 5 pack. The device was expensive, and the liquid filling the cartos, inefficient and inconsistent. Not enough nicotine, coupled with a high price led me right back to cigarettes. I wasn't ready to know there was other things out there that worked better and were cheaper. Bought a "disposable" back in 2011 that tasted like thin mint cookies, but made me sick, and was given an unbranded automatic battery with tobacco cartos shortly after. Tried an ego like device called a "Big Foos" in january of 2013 and have been vaping ever since.
I currently own 2 of the Foos brand ego styles, and have found i enjoy the smoktech DCT tanks or BOGE LR cartos over the other locally available delivery systems. I'm about to purchase a vivi nova, and give that guy a whirl, as they just became locally available at a great price. I have been shopping at a place called "e cigs plus" here in wichita, ks. They mix their own juices, i'm suspecting all at 20% with single flavors in a 50/50 base, and all at 24mg, but lower can be requested. They are sometimes harsh, and always hit or miss, so sometimes a vapor session may not be as pleasurable as it could be, though, i've had great success with tinkering with the flavors, mixing them together, and creating blends that are truly a pleasure to vape. Therefore i'm greatly interested in DIY e-juice.
Sunday I bought my first APV, The v2 Vamo vv/vw device, which was purchased from vaporalley.com, and have PG and VG, as well as some mixing supplies on order, just waiting for Wizard Labs to get some 100 mg in stock so i can make an order for flavors and nicotine. I'm very interested in trying a few different delivery systems, as the ce4 hasn't quite lived up to my satisfaction, and cartos are a pain. I like tanks, but just want to try all there is to offer.
So far, I'm hooked. Who would have known this would become a hobby. Actually less of a hobby, and more of an obsession. The actual act of vaping is fun, and draws me to it, but the plethora of different means of delivery, and multitude of APVs, along with the ability to make your own juice, AND build your own APVs, keeps me intent.
I have been doing a large amount of research, every day for over 2 months almost, so at this point i really don't have any questions, but am looking forward to learning from the great people here on ECF.
