I guess this is my first post on this forum. I am a physician (surgeon) who has many heavy analog smokers that need to quit period. I am greatly in favor of any safe product that will assist my patients in not burning tobacco and inhaling the fumes. I have researched (what little science is out there) e-cigarettes and I essentially classify them with other non-combustible nicotine resources.
I am not a "preacher" of abstinence of nicotine use by any stretch of the imagination but I have seen the ravages of combustible (and oral-smokeless) tobacco use. I consider e-cigs to be a far safer alternative to combustible/smokeless tobacco use. I do not advocate e-cig use by minors (don't think that most of the forum users would either) but I do consider an e-cig an adult product that can be a tool in smoking cessation.
Personally, I have used Halo Products and have enjoyed the experience with an adult beverage in moderate use. It's going to take some research and experience with e-cigs before the public stops labeling e-cigs as the "boogy man" or "child killers". I have urged my colleagues to look at e-cigs and to utilize them as a tool or as an adult activity that carries far less risk (if one uses a quality product) than tobacco smoke. Happy
vaping my friends and keep putting good quality information out for consumers.
