I am a 42 year old paramedic working 250 miles out in the gulf of Mexico. I have been smoking on and off since age 14. Managed to stay in the gym, and eat healthy, but was a real addict. I have tried gum, patches, wellbutrin, chantix and never could quit for more than a year. 7+ years in the US ARMY Infantry... everyone smokes!
Then E-cigs came along... the ones where you punctured foil on the filter part by jamming it down onto a metal coil thingy. They all tasted like dirty honey, you had to buy them at the flea market. That didnt last long. I finally tried the BLU disposable about 6 months ago, not a bad flavor but at 2 or 3 a day way more expensive than analogs. I tried every cheap gas station cig-a-like I could find. I found some peach, pinapple, and black cherry ones that I really enjoyed and seemed to last twice as long as the BLU.
I bought my first EGO kit from a gas station and loved the battery life and vapor. The flavor of the gas station no-name e-juices was beyond terrible. I started googling for vape shops. My closest one in Beaumont texas sells only halo liquids and the crappy plastic vivi nova style tanks at a huge mark up. The dont even sell the tanks or cartos that you sample the juice with. When you get it home It just tastes like a burt mess after just one tank.
On my last 3 week hitch out I came with about 200$ worth of cig-a-likes that I got on sale from my local tobacco barn. Great flavor, meh battery life, but ran through 3 cartos a day. The last week out I was trying to get by dripping some awful liquid into the used up filters. One of the underwater robot operators saw my struggle and offered me some Tigers Blood from Bird's vapor in Burnett, Texas. OMFG the most amazing flavor I have tried to date. Strawberry, tangy watermellon, with just a hint of coconut or pina colada. Even through a burned out filter it tasted good, getting the juice in my mouth was a treat! They day I left the rig I went to Swamp vapor in lafayette, louisianna and got a new ego kit, a flavor called black honey, and a strawberry bannana flavor after they failed to produce a good version of Tigers Blood.
I am back out on the oil rig with some flavors I dont love, and some tigers blood that tastes like vegetable oil. I went to the forums and started reading reviews. Despite my struggles I have not smoked in over 6 months. I have been buying 16$ ego kits for a few friends that are slowly coming around... Then I got some unexpected money for mileage and training... I read the forums, checked ebay, looked at e-juice reviews, and started putting together a christmas list for friends and family, and planning 2 e-cig tasting parties...

Now I am normally pretty tight with my money... I did get a nice check that I did not expect, and since switching to an EGO I spend 2$ a day on vaping instead of 12$ on smoking... I made a big investment for myself and for family and friends... about the only thing I didnt get is a Provari or VV device, or any DIY juice stuff... those are coming after christmas!
Will I be satisfied? What juice will go best with what set up? I am sure there are some things that appear a little low end on my list... but I have 2 tasting parties coming up where I will be gifting starter kits and juice and easy to use filters.

That is the most impressive first order I've seen yet. And you bought for everybody, how cool is that? I'm dying to see what your second order will look like.
