Hi everyone,
newbie here, first I would like to thank you for having such a wonderful and informative forum, I am excited to be able to checkout sponsors and other things I could not do whilst just lurking.

I would specifically like to thank all those who gave feedback in this thread:
wx3.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-liquid-reviews/45519-dekang-juices.html (I cant post there as of posting this thread) all the input was very informative and has pretty much swayed me into only trusting USA juices. Thank you once again, that invaluable discussion will (hopefully) prevent me from ever having to chuck out bad juices.

I look foward to joining in with you all in on discussions about e-cigs in the near future! :)

Welcome qwerty!

That's an easy name to type; all the letters are in a row.

You only need 5 posts to be able to post in other forums. It will happen quickly, but it takes time for your status to be updated. You may find that you spend most of your time in the New Members Forum anyway. This is by far the most active forum.

You can start getting your post count up by telling us whether you're vaping already or waiting for stuff to arrive. What stuff have you ordered, etc. You can also welcome newbies; we seem to get a new member about every five minutes.

Good Luck!

Hi audio & AttyPops!

I currently only have a Joye 510 Passthrough a friend gave me yesterday, and several empty carts

Im expecting my order to arrive tomorrow, I am getting a white M401 starter kit with 20mg of medium and heavy ejuice (10ea), plus a PCC for the M401.

I plan to get a M403 battery if the length bugs me.
I think the 401 atomizers take longer to break in then many other models, so it should be interesting how long it takes for me to get good vape from it.

I am already eyeing off my next hardware purchase, I saw a video review of the DSE084 and was quite impressed by it. Looks like it will have an automatic battery which suits me perfectly!

As for liquids go, one will be Dekang and the other 10ml I am awaiting will be HG (supplier branded juice i think, since I'm buying from heaven gifts.). They'll probably be the only ones of those kinds I'll order, as I plan on buying from several US ejuice suppliers the next time I need to purchase more.

Part of my main motivation to switch over to ecigs was to save on money, recently the price of analogs in Australia went up ridiculously, and after trying out a friends ecig, I can see myself changing to them completely.

Oh, and I think i'll need to google Dvorak, I don't know what that/(it?) is!!  :)

Just curious... Have you found that Australia's ban on PV's makes it difficult to buy supplies?

Welcome! Where in Australia are you from?

I am moving to Brisbane in a month from the US and am currently trying to find USA/UK made VG juices that will ship to Australia! It seems so strange to me that AU of all places would have banned the e cig!

I had some VG sent to Australia (gotta have some juice when I get there!)from Vapor4Life, but the shipping was 30 US dollars. However, it arrived quickly and made it through customs so I am pleased. The prices are really good, so the shipping didn't seem quite as bad.

Sorry for the rant! :D

Hi radicaljd
AFAIK, its only banned for sale locally in Australia in all states, again, AFAIK its perfectly legal to buy them internationally and own them.

I have not spoken a vaper who has said otherwise here, of course it would be far more convenient if this wasn't the case and they could be sold legally here, but its claimed that the content for PV's aren't regulated or something along those lines as the reason for the ban (you can read all about the PV ban on wikipedia if you like to take the time) although it is of my personal opinion that Australia is just being shielded, since billions is earnt from tax on tobacco sales here.

In short: though its clearly not as convenient, I haven't heard of anyones ecig/juice orders being confiscated by customs yet, so the having to buy international isn't that big of a deal to me personally.

Hi LittleMerced, thank you for the kind words. :)
I am from Melbourne, I was pleased too, I bought from HG and my shipping took 4 working days from the time I ordered online to delivery, there was a weekend in between so I did have to wait longer however I'll plan on ordering earlier during the week in the future to really be able to enjoy the quick shipping (I shipped with EMS, very prompt with tracking)
Mine had no trouble with making through customs which was the same for other vapers I know who order online.

Sadly, since I sort of rushed into using my PV, I have actually wasted a fair bit of juice >_< I think 3-5mg or so, I made the mistake of assuming that since I wasnt getting much vapor, that I needed to draw harder, I may have worn down my current atty, but no big deal, the device is absolutely awesome.

I have one analog left and after its gone Im never buying them again! I have had one every so often but instead of going through 25, in the same duration of time I have gone through 3!! So after the last one is gone, its vape only for me, and my M401 is producing an excellent amount of vape and the draw feels much like an analog now.

I was under the impression that the atty would take about a weak to break in, it may not be broken in yet but is producing great amounts of vapor, Im not certain if thats due to wear or due to me learning how to use it better or a combination of both.

Ive topped up my PP and look foward to getting some vapes from the states!

Question for anyone, where or which Apple flavoured juice would be considered the best? can anyone recommend, I plan to stock up on this flavour. Im after strong flavour, strong nicotine variety, lots of sweetness yet still very sour like a fresh green apple.

Thanks kindly for all your contributions to my thread :D

Just a word of warning...

Automatic batteries can have a much bigger learning curve than manual batteries.
And most of them also have a cutoff that might prevent you from taking long drags.

Also, automatic batteries are not sealed, so if you flood your atomizer you can get juice down into the battery which can gum up the works and cause your battery to stop functioning.

I strongly suggest you get at least one manual battery as backup just in case.

As far as the learning curve, remember to come back and read this if you are having trouble...

Automatic batteries often take some practice to get them working good.

Stand in front of a mirror and watch the LED as you take drags.
You want to see how hard you need to draw on it to get that LED lit.
And you want to see how hard you need to draw on it to keep it lit as long as possible.

For some automatic batteries your only choice is to do consecutive short drags.
And it is often said that a quick short initial draw (primer puff) followed by a real drag will work well.

Most people recommend slower, longer draws.

thats exactly what works best for me, a primer puff then a slow long soft drag, produces the best result for atomization of the vapor. :)

I wasn't aware that the intake hole for the automatic switch on the battery was prone to sucking in ejuice, thank you heaps for the advice!

I have a manual passthrough 510, I keep it in my starter kit box just incase I ever need to use it, so Im not worried if say the unfortunate happens and I get a battery or atty failure.

I know practice makes perfect, and initially i was taxing my atomizer, but I got the hang of it now, I do tend to vape a lot more frequently then I expected to, more then when I was smoking analogues, I think that may be something which will gradually change as my body adjusts to not having all the chems that analogues have been giving it.

Thanks for letteing me know the specifics musicbox (I tired to quote you, but im getting server too busy atm)
Anychance you can clarify what quantity of juice is considered 3 months worth? I can assume what the approximate amount would be but knowing the exact will ensure I never accidentally over order. Cheers. :)

The thing is that the nice people at customs don't know either:D
My last order had 500mls of 36mg in it.
I know of others who have brought in more than a litre at a time but I think that's probably pushing it.
BTW, don't expect to get around the dreaded weekend delay for your shipping. From my experience, even ordering on a Sunday evening means that it will arrive in Melbourne the next Saturday morning. That is even more frustrating than watching it sit in China.
I have had 4 day deliveries but always over a weekend.
The worst is when it goes through Sydney airport. Add 3 days for that. (I think the customs people there are too busy looking for a decent cup of coffee)

This issue is similar to what we have in Canada. Imports, sales and advertising are banned. Electronic smoking products containing nicotine require market authorization before they can be imported, marketed, or sold. No market authorization has been granted for any electronic smoking products as of yet, so some shipments are seized. But I have had no issues yet and there are a few suppliers up here. Go figure, as a guy who was born in Canada and spent his formative years in Brisbane and Sydney, I can relate to the similarities in our culture and government. The queen is not as far removed from either of our cultures as of yet, lol, and Britain seems to be following suit.

Suffice it to say, I have no problems obtaining what I want either from abroad, or from inside Canada. Although, I would not try to import or export large quantities of anything at this point in time. and it looks like its pretty much the same down there. I would almost say it is almost better, simply because the government isn't actually actively doing much, unlike where it is legal as battles rage by governments and big business trying to get a piece of the pie. Although, like it or lump it, we're probably just going to have to accept whatever ramifications ripple down after those battles are fought and won/lost where they are going on.

Unfortunately (fortunately?) China will probably be the one place that the battle will not be lost and importations from there will probably filter through regardless. I'm just keeping a years worth of supply at hand for now and waiting to see what occurs in the future.

If you're interested in shipping some real Fosters (we get the stuff brewed up here and remarketed under the Fosters name) or XXXX (That spells beer for all you non Queenslanders ) up here, I will gladly trade some made in Canada (with Nic from china) E juice

The best beer in aus is from micro breweries like those that are around the rocks in Sydney, at least it was when I lived there 10 years ago lol.
The only reason the aus government banned the sale of nic juice is because it contains no tobacco which means the greedy sob's can't tax it.

I remember liking something called Eumundi Lager, I think, back in the day. Unfortunately my palate for beer was undefined when I lived there, though as I was underage and whatever was cheap and obtainable was best at that time, lol. And I remember Longbeach and Winstons (red?) as my favourite smokes. Longbeach came in a 40 pack and when I returned to Canada and max. 20 per smoke pack at twice the price I was in shock. Ah the memories. Probably a lot different now.

Ahh Longbeach, I smoked 60 of those a day for 20 years lol. Nowadays I think they're like $18 a pack down here.

Yikes and I thought 10 bucks for premium brands here nowadays was bad (although at 20 smokes, same thing I suppose). Longbeach were approaching 3 bucks a pack I think when I left. Wow.
