Hey there. I am a new member here. I have smoked cigs since I was a teenager. I had a few rules for myself that I didn't smoke at work and mostly just at home. This kind of kept my habit from spiraling too far, but it did spiral and I needed to quit. I found Greensmoke Ecigs. Not too terribly bad, but their kits are expensive and their flavors limited. I am mostly a menthol smoker and their menthol was something that I had to put up with more than enjoy. As you can imagine, I ended up not using them as much as I would like. Then, a friend of mine let me try her Ego.......Great taste without the nasty additive undertones of a cigarette. AND it was far better than greensmoke. I have ordered a Kranger mini pro tank 2 kit and some liquids from gourmet vapors. I'm still sort of new to this more advanced vapor world but I found some liquids that I'm hoping matched my old brands as closely as possible. For now, I'm sticking to the greensmoke and waiting for my new purchases to arrive. I'm looking forward to never having to pick up an analog cigarette again.

Congrats!

I fiddled with disposables for 6 months or so while continuing to smoke cigs. When I decided to make the plunge and buy some real gear, I was sold.. Haven't picked up another cig since. I had half a carton of American Spirits chilling in my car to keep me from getting nervous, but never touched them and eventually gave them away.

I remember when day 3 went by, painlessly, and I truly couldn't believe I'd finally quit. Was a great feeling. Hoping you have the same experience. Cheers!

Congratulations and welcome to ECF. The Ego batteries are a good place to start and learn how things work and what you like. Get 5 posts here under your belt and go and do some reading on the other Forums so you can see what is available and start making a list of things that interest you for down the road.

I started with a Vision Spinner 1300mah battery and liked that I could adjust the voltage to the particular juice I was vaping. There is a lot of information here and most of us are quick to answer questions, so ask away. I am posting a link to an older thread that has a lot of links to basics on vaping and things to get you started reading. Good luck and glad you found us.

This thread is a good place to see what other ECF members are listing as their favorite juice vendors. It will give you a place to start your research and where to get your liquids from. Some of the listed vendors have threads here so you can read up on the individual flavors and decide what you want to try out.

You might find in the near future that the tobacco flavors turn for the worse. In my opinion I have yet to find any juice that tastes like a cigarette, at least not like a real cigarette and that they leave some type of after taste that to me at least is very unappealing (kind of like an old dirty sock in your mouth). I'm kind of glad of that as it turns out. I now get to have many other tastes in my mouth instead of that tobacco breath.

About the only tobacco flavor, and it isn't really a tobacco flavor, that I still vape is Halocigs Tribeca. Can't get away from it. Great after taste and just that hint of sweetness.

Well good luck to you and welcome to the forum. Keep Vaping.

It's a huge world out there. Lots to learn and a whole heck of a lot of money to spend. I went from ego's straight to a Provari for 6 months and moved on to mechanical mods, and finally my Reo. So much cool stuff out there and the advanced market of e-cigarettes is evolving faster than computers did in the 90's

Thank you everyone for the kind words of encouragement and all the support. It means a lot!

You can get quite overwhelmed at all that is out there. Starting with the eGO is a good choice. I use a 1300mah battery and it really enhances the flavors for me.

    Welcome aboard and Happy Vaping!!
