Greetings!

I'm new to e-cigs. I recently purchased a nice little one from the local shopping mall. I am not rightly sure which model it is, but I suspect it's an 801. The cartridges screw in, and I can refill them. This is the second e-cig I've owned.. the first being by the Randy's rolling paper company. After two defective units, I got a refund, and bought the one I'm currently using.

I love this thing, but I'm getting tired of having to drive all the way across town, which takes about half an hour, to brave the little'uns at the mall. I've been looking at a few websites, but I'm having a hard time finding one that supplies affordable e-juice made with vegetable glycerin, and NOT propylene glycol.

The reason I joined this site is to remedy this problem.

If anyone would like to send me websites they've had success with, please do. I will also start browsing through this forum, on my own, for I am impatient! ;)

VG is vegetable glycerin, which I purchased at a health food store. PG is propylene glycol. There is a lot of stuff in Wikipedia about both. Both will give you vapor. Glycerin is one of the ingredients in shisha, that wonderful stuff one would smoke in a hookah. It makes the smoke cloud thicker. It will generate this same cloud at lower temperatures, which is why they use it in the e-cigs. Nicotine vapor is not visible, you see.

There are two ways to process PG, one using heat, and one using heat and Sulphuric Acid. I am not sure which method some suppliers use, so I just ordered a bunch of pure VG e-juice. I don't really trust PG.. rather.. the sources of it. If I could get a guarantee of one processing method over another, then I would be fine with PG.

My idea is to figure out a recipe, and make my own from scratch.... There is a wonderful tobacco store where I live, and I can easily "brew" up some glycerin and tobacco, strain out the tobacco, and I'm good to go. The reason I'm buying any, at all, is so that I can test out the VG versus the PG, and save my time if I don't like VG. I'm pretty sure I will, however. I used to smoke hookahs, and simply loved it.

VaporBomb.com has 100%VG juices and they are to die for! (My opinion.) They're great with great service. I also use 100% VG and I get 99% of my juices from them.

So, I just got my first shipment from these guys, and they sent me a free bottle! It was my first order, and I only spent 22.25, including S&H! I was pretty surprised. So, if anyone's going to order from these guys, plan for it to take a week. Now, I haven't tried the juice, yet.. I will do that a little later. I just wanted to thank JCnewbie for the hot tip.

Oh, and as far as Vapor4Life goes, I heard that the "Green Cigs" are the ones with pure VG. I haven't investigated, yet. ..for y'all who might be perusing this particular thread. ;)
