Hi all!

New to the forum so thought I would just say hello, but I do have a problem that I am wondering if anyone can help with...

My vaporesso Target doesn't seem to charge through the USB port any more. I have had it about four months now and it has always worked perfectly until about a week ago. I tried to charge it from flat via the USB port and it suddenly shot up to about 19% in a matter of seconds, and then stopped there. I left it for a bit but it was still the same, so I went to pick it up and when I moved it the % shot up to about 30 something. I unplugged it and the little battery symbol was about half full, but as soon as I fired it it just went all the way down straight away. I can use an external battery charger to charge the batteries and they work fine.

Has anyone else had this problem with this or similar mods?

Thanks!

Hi and welcome! I haven't seen that problem specifically on that mod, but USB charging on these things can sometimes be an issue. I charge all my replaceable batteries with an external charger for just that reason. I only use the USB port for my one mod with a replaceable Lipo battery. As long as that's the only issue, and you already have an external charger, I wouldn't be too concerned. However, if it's new, you might want to contact the vendor and see if it's still under warranty and if they will replace it. Good luck!

Hi both,
thanks for the responses. Yeah I have two batteries as well so normally have one spare in my pocket, and I have an old mod that still charges via USB just in case. It's just annoying more than anything. I tried it today while I posted originally (as I problems have a habit of fixing themselves whenever I ask someone for help!), and it actually appeared to drain the battery (saying 'Battery Empty' while it was still plugged in and I tried turning it on) and then the display went funny with a big white box in front of everything. I took the battery out, left it a bit and put it back together. Battery was still as full as it was when I plugged it in, and luckily the white box had gone and the display was back to normal. Will see about getting it replaced, but think I will try and avoid plugging it in all together!

I never use USB charging ports because of all the problems I've read about.

You said you keep a spare battery in your pocket. Probably you already know this stuff, but just in case, I hope you have the spare battery in some kind of container and not loose in your pocket. I've heard too many scary stories not to bring it up.

Welcome to the forum.
