Hi all!

So I got my new tank in the mail yesterday and just threw a couple of Clapton's on it.

The vape is really nice and intense, really good flavour and thick fluffy clouds.

I'm just wondering why the airflow feels so restricted, I don't know whether it's because I'm more used to RDA's or whether the Clapton's are restricting the air flow.

Would a standard build, say 5 wraps of 26g kanthal make the draw more airy?

I thought I'd ask before I start fiddling about with my coils :)

The air flow slots are so huge that it must be the coils, right?

Cheers folks.

I am glad the OP asked this question, it has helped me out. I don't think I want the Griffin no more since the airflow is the way it is. I also do not want to purchase extras in this case. I might as well choose a different tank with better airflow. Anybody know a tank that is kind of common in price but has lots or airflow?

Do you need massive wide open airflow ? because the 22 griffin is not "that" restrictive ..........
If so, this might be a better option Tsunami RDA by Geek Vape - Two-Post

Exactly my reasons I'm not buying top airflow for my griffin as the 25mm will be my next rta
Same here, I do like the look of the Alleria RTA, I wonder how many peeps are going to be vaping in front of the mirror to see their coils glow, haha but 3ml just isn't enough, they will probably bring a bigger version out too, which I 'll probably get.

Then get the Griffin 25. It holds more juice and has the better airflow that you're looking for.

Big coils can restrict the airflow in my Griffin.. I just have to be sure there isn't any cotton extending into the air port in the deck, especially on the back side..also I pull the coils up off the air holes to about the middle of the posts..and run airflow wide open.. Its not tight, but it could be better maybe..definitely doable

I've had mine for a week now. Restrictive air? Not at all here. I'm getting too much air. So far I have only set up with two 7 wrap 28 awg kanthal , 0.1" (2.5mm) i.d. micro coils (.67 ohms total)and I find myself closing the air small to get some air resistance. I'm not getting the thick vape I expected.
There is always a little condensation coming out the air slots and I have to keep wiping down and my hands are always sticky. With this build I cannot go over about 22 to 25 watts or a few dry hits will occur.
I tried a spreaded coil tonight and that reduces burn so I can turn up more, but now I get annoying pops.
Final fix, I put on my Kayfun Lite. Ahh, that's better. Open screw, fill up, no mess.
