You can fit 3mm id coils in there pretty easily, but the placement is crucial. If you get the coil dead center side to side, and push them in towards the posts, you should be able to run them without shorting.I put a set of claptons in mine a while back, and they were extremely close, but they fit.
Ill give it a try Thanks for your Input

Oh hell, I couldn't wait until tomorrow to watch that vid. I was shocked at how loose he wicked. I've never seen a wick that loose before. I liked the way he put the top on after wicking to mark the cotton where to cut. I'll have to try that. :D

After using less cotton, the Griffin was wicking better for the first tankful anyway. After I refilled the tank I started getting dry hits again. Weird! I decided to start over with new coils and wicked the same way as the first vid. I also went from a 2.5mm diameter coil to a 3.0. It's wicking great now and I'm on the 2nd tankful but the flavor isn't there. I have a .59 ohm build and have tried 20W to 42W. I've settled on 41.5W but the flavor isn't all that great. Not sure I like dual coil tanks. My single coil tanks vape delicious. :p

Are you using the stock drip tip on it?I found that when i used the big tip that comes on it,the flavor was sort of faint, but i put the adapter in and used a smaller tip,and the flavor is great with that smaller one in it.

Yay @tmcase! Sorry, been bizzy past couple of days and haven't had the chance to check back

Re: narrow-bore DT - I'd agree - concentrating the vapor should help with the flavor. I'm traveling, so I left Griff at home, but I'll have to also try a narrower DT. I get amazing vapor, but the flavor isn't as concentrated.

Thanks all for comments and updates!

You will be amazed at how much more flavor you get from the Griffin with the small bore drip tip,you still get lots of vapor too haha.It seems to work that way for a lot of tanks,i put a smaller drip tip on my Boreas today, and same thing huge difference in flavor.

Hi guys how's it going. So I've had the Griffin tank now for two weeks. Just when I thought I had wicking figured out it proves me wrong. So I been wicking it just tucking the cotton at the top of the airflow. Not really stuffing it down the juice channel and when you look at the juice holes through the tank you can't see any cotton. The first few tanks were great no leaking nothing at all thought I had it figured out. Now two to three tanks in when I fill it up it leaks all at the bottom. I also get hot spot back the first few pulls. But prior to this it was fine. Guy at the Vap shop told me to put the cotton down the actual juice channels but not stuffing it. Any tips or advice what am I doing wrong ?

I wicked mine to the top of the juice wells only which stopped the gross leaking at fill. Until the top froze on it after 2 months. Nice paperweight now.

throw it in the freezer for a little while, then try and unscrew it.It could be the metal seized together, but i would guess the o-ring is dry and is really grabbing.Another option is to wrap it with a rag, then grab 1 half with pliers while you try and unscrew the other half.

Thanks everyone for all the tips/videos in here. My first build yesterday was atrocious. My 2nd build I did more like my 2nd build on the gemini (1st build on that was terrible too but never done an RTA so read the gemini thread for advice and watched some youtube to sort it out) and I got a little leaking at the beginning but it seems to be doing better now on the 2nd tank (thanks for the refill tips).

This thing is a cloud chucking and juice sucking machine.
