Thanks for that. I sometimes get just 1 or 2 but see bubbles just sitting in all 4 holes but never come out. I wasn't sure if all 4 should bubble. I hope to hear how many others are getting.

I'm somewhat the same - I'll typically only see one bubble. But, I've not gotten a dry hit yet. My first wicking attempt was an atrocity, but the 2nd time around has been much better (and no leaks!)

Hmm...I usually only get 1 bubble also, sometimes a second later on but I start to get dry hits after the 3 vape then have to do an unpowered pull to get the bubbles back. I guess I don't have the wicking down yet.

@tmcase - I'll go hunting, but I saw a video review of the Griff. For wicking, trim them just outside the edge of the deck. Then, put the ring on and work the ends into the juice channels. Mine don't go down very far at all - just barely in the channels. I do use shisedo, but I'll probably try rayon on the next build. I believe I have dual SS claptons in there right now - don't remember

ETA - about 19:00 into this is where you see the wicks on the deck....

This wasn't the original video I watched, but it's the same philosophy. I had a touch of leaking the other night, but I'd "over-loosened" the JFC and it caused a bit of a breech where the base tightens to the tank. Fixed that - hasn't leaked since then.

The ring doesn't come off of mine. I had read that the ring comes off so I tried but it looks like it is part of the deck. It won't come off. I'll try to watch that vid on my phone. I don't have enough data usage to watch vids via wifi. I hope it's a short one. :(

It sounds like I'm wicking the same way you are. I first tried with cotton but now I'm trying with rayon and still having the same problem. Dry hits after 3 consecutive vapes.

Do you have a 22 or a 25?

Try this as an alternate:

All that I've viewed look pretty similar.

I didn't realize my ring thingy came off until AFTER I jacked up the ceramic insulator and silicone air flow blocker (DOH)

I have the 22mm. I watched that first vid you posted and rewicked with cotton again. I was doing it the same way he was but I think I was using too much cotton. I used less this time and it's wicking better. Time will tell.

About that ring...I guess mine does come off. I took another look under a magnifying glass and there is a seem there but I can't get it off. I really don't see the need to take it off anyway.

I'll watch the 2nd vid tomorrow. It's late and I'm tired. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow. Thanks for the help. :)

Sometimes I get one, sometimes four, sometimes none. I just stopped worrying about it unless I start to notice temp control throttling back the power.

After using less cotton, the Griffin was wicking better for the first tankful anyway. After I refilled the tank I started getting dry hits again. Weird! I decided to start over with new coils and wicked the same way as the first vid. I also went from a 2.5mm diameter coil to a 3.0. It's wicking great now and I'm on the 2nd tankful but the flavor isn't there. I have a .59 ohm build and have tried 20W to 42W. I've settled on 41.5W but the flavor isn't all that great. Not sure I like dual coil tanks. My single coil tanks vape delicious. :p

Are you using the stock drip tip on it?I found that when i used the big tip that comes on it,the flavor was sort of faint, but i put the adapter in and used a smaller tip,and the flavor is great with that smaller one in it.

I had a small tip on yesterday but have changed to the bigger one. I think I'll change back. :D

OMG! What a difference 3mm makes. The flavor is back and I can drop my wattage down and use less juice. Thank you so much @b.m. I never would have thought of that.
I thought that might work. That big tip is great for huge hits and big clouds, but the flavor seems to suffer.Glad it worked for ya.

Same here, definitely more concerned with flavor, but i can still blow big enough clouds to make my wife mad at me haha.

 I know what you mean. My BF doesn't complain but he'll say things like "there's so much smoke in here I can't see where I'm going."

Haha,i've heard similar comments several times. My favorite though,is the fake cough every time i vape near her.I would understand if it wasn't for the fact the she smokes a pack and a half a day,so i'm pretty sure my vapor isn't hurting her at all haha.

I have issues with atomizer shorting. Looks like I can only put very little micro coil builds in it or it will short.
You can fit 3mm id coils in there pretty easily, but the placement is crucial. If you get the coil dead center side to side, and push them in towards the posts, you should be able to run them without shorting.I put a set of claptons in mine a while back, and they were extremely close, but they fit.
