Just an awesome video by Grimm! Check him out if you haven't, good reviews and good messages about the vaping community as well. I love his saying "there is no wrong way to vape". It's so true, but I definitely fall into the category of I'm gonna vape for any kind of foreseeable future. It is so much more than smoking ever was for me, the juice, the mods, and the community...just an all around cool "thing" as Grimm put it!

Check it out here

I really don't know how long I'll vape for. Said the same thing about cigarettes, heh. The reason its really appealing to me is because what I liked the most about smoking cigarettes was:
1)seeing smoke come out of my mouth and
2)flicking the .....

I'm not going to carry around little cylinders to flick when I'm done vaping, but smoke rings and french inhales and ghosting will keep me entertained for now :)

haha doogmar...yeah the whole $$$ thing seems to happen! Ive definitely fallen into the money trap here in the last couple of weeks with my vaping, but now, all I should need for quite some time is more cartos/tanks and juice. And thats way cheaper than smoking was! So, I'll choose to think of it that way...until I see something cooler than the provari come out! hahaha:laugh:

    I'll be vaping till I'm 90.

    I'm almost there

Wellllllllll, still about 20 years short of 90, but I smoked for well over fifty years. I was never able to quit because the bottom line was I didn't want to quit. I loved smoking! Vaping is the first alternative that gives me all those things that I liked about smoking, so it was a natural transition, and my wife and kids already know to place all my PV's in the urn along with my ashes.

Im in the same boat. Vapor 4 Life. I think a lot of noobs overspend trying to find the right unit and tops to use. I had a blu that cost a lot but didnt work properly. Stepped up to an Ego-T but hated the tank on it. So I got a bunch of Stardust Clearomizers. Now I have using super shorty cartomizers and LOVE it. However I know its not for everyone. It just finding the right parts for you.

Having quit analogs a handful of times (cold turkey and with gum) I would always return to them when in social situations and someone else was smoking. I could go weeks without smoking but as soon as I was around them it was all over. I didn't mind smoking moderately, but I did mind having to buy a whole pack or bum. If I bought a whole pack for a night out, that always meant smoking for a few days afterward to get rid of them. Vaping has taken care of that and for that I am grateful. At the same time, I do want to quit altogether at some point.

When I first got my vaping gear I started using it almost non-stop. I could do it inside with little trouble and that was a worry. This kinda scared me as it felt like I just went straight back to a full blown nicotine addiction.

For now I am enjoying vaping, but my ultimate plan is to scale back to being mostly vape and nicotine free and vape on special occasions; basically the same instances where I would want a cig when I wasn't a daily smoker. Times like social situations, grilling, after a particularly hard day of work, after sex ;-) etc.

well, i was a smoker for 20 plus years, and ever since i've discovered the joys of vaping and i've gotten more satisfaction out of it then i've ever gotten out of smoking cigs, i've fallen in love with the whole shebang. i kicked the habit, and i've found a hobby. i will be a vaper for as long as i can. there are some studies that show nicotine is about as harmless as caffeine. i am not worried about the nicotine as much as the other poisons and actual smoke from cigs. i'll pick my poison like everyone else, and i'll stick with vaping for as long as it's around. it's not an alternative to smoking for me anymore-it's a complete replacement. i love it!

i think i will be a vaper for life i truly enjoyed smoking taking the time to sit back the flavor the richness of the smoke and then i discovered vaping all the things that i enjoyed about smoking without the negatives in the health issues so i don't see me quitting any time soon

I completely agree. If it weren't for all of those pesky health risks I would still be smoking.

My nicotine tastes like butterscotch, at the moment... Caramel next when I run this tank dry. Why would I ever want to give up this deliciousness? It's keeping me away from the stinkies AND the sweets, for far cheaper than either of them. Plus, when I celebrate my one month smoke free mark, my honey's going to buy me a ProVari. Vaper for LIFE!

I've said this on another thread, but I think it bears repeating in this context ...

I intend to vape until the Final Trump. I can't ever see wanting to quit, and here's why:

    1. Vaping broke a 50-year smoking habit for me. Completely, with no regrets, and no pain. To the contrary, it's been a pleasure.

    2. Vaping is NOTHING like smoking cigarettes to me. It is EVERYTHING like smoking pipes! All the different mods (all the different pipes); all the different juices (all the different pipe tobacco blends); all the DIY options (I spent hours in the tobacconist shop creating new blends; I even carved several of my own pipes, and repaired many broken ones); and all the different delivery systems and RBAs (I've smoked hookahs, corncobs, clays, meerschaums, briars, ceramics, and ivory, among others!).

    3. Vaping has a community of enthusiastic practitioners. When I was smoking cigarettes, I don't remember having any really in-depth conversations about brands, tobaccos, or techniques. Ciggies were just a habit; they were just something you DID, often in an absent-minded sort of way. You certainly didn't have clubs or social groups that got together to compare cigarettes, admire new holders, or speculate on the latest filter design coming out of Brown & Williamson.

    4. Vaping is fun and satisfying. I enjoy getting new mods the same way I used to love getting new pipes (and I think I'm spending just as much, if not more, than I used to spend on pipes, and I had some pretty expensive—and beautiful—pipes!). I enjoy mixing my own juices just like I used to love blending tobaccos. And I love to play with my vapor—french inhales, vapor rings, letting the vapor dribble forth from my mouth and roll and billow and swirl in lazy clouds around my head—just like I used to lean back in my chair in a haze of pipe smoke, enjoying a momentary fantasy ... a pipe dream.

Yes, I loved my pipes, and I love vaping ... the pipes, though fond memories, are history; vaping is my future.
