I just filled my Butterscotch Pudding (BSP) tank with Banana Pudding (B PUDDIN). I am old with impaired vision and easily distracted. Have now re-labeled both bottles with completely spelled out names. Poured the Banana back in the bottle. Refilled with Butterscotch. The slight mixing of flavors is fairly good. Still. . . grrrrrr.

I keep the colored caps from finished bottles and use those to help sort when the labels are faded or start tearing.
The caps on all my bottles are the same color. It wasn't that I couldn't read the labels. It was that "B PUDDIN" could have been either banana or butterscotch. I knew that butterscotch was BSP, but my brain wasn't 100% engaged, probably because butterscotch is 1 word so BSP isn't really apt.

My biggest label gripe is that some vendors don't spend the extra fraction of a cent for glossy labels that can stand running water. It's inevitable that some juice will run down the bottle when you tip it back upright after a fill. Wiping with a wet cloth or running water over the bottle is the fix. If the label isn't waterproof, then you end up having to use masking tape and a felt tip to re-label it.

If Catsup bottlers can afford high end labels on a $3 bottle of Catsup, juice vendors can afford a decent glossy label on a $15 bottle of juice. Alcohol based inkjet inks can stand the water. Crummy labels can't!
