Some days I wake up and don't feel like dealing with people either. It may be unrelated to the smoking cessation, or it may be that you are missing the other alkaloids from tobacco. If it was the latter, I think that it usually shows up before now. I could most definitely be wrong about this, but I think that the half-life on alkaloids (like nicotine, and other fun things that end in -ine) is pretty short. I can't really offer you any advice, but I will say that you have a cute haircut that frames your face perfectly in your picture. ;) Good luck! Everyone here supports you in your efforts!

Its not just the nicotine,Cigarettes have a lot of funky stuff in them besides nicotine. After a few yrs. of smoking, you get used to those toxins and when you quit smoking and start vaping, you feel like something is missing. It goes away after a couple weeks.
I was a irritable old fart for a month or so when I quit.Don't worry,it gets better

As many mentioned its normal and probably caused by detoxing off all the extra nastiness you really never agreed to be addicted to in the first place. I was in denial when I smoked, that there where SO many added, unnecessary chemicals. The first 2-3 weeks 100% vaping au contire denial no more. I felt it for sure. So its okay if you got the grumps. It will pass and you'll be glad when it does. Try to up your water intake to help flush out your body of the extra chemicals.

Hi Jacq....keep your chin up. It will most likely pass.I can only speak from my own experience and what I've read from others, but this is my experience/theory:

I quit smoking Jan 14th...and after that I went thru some pretty rotton days with blues/aggitation/"the grumpies". (On top of that my face broke out, and I felt hideous! Lol Id never dreamed Id have pimples @36!) I went from being a pretty darn pleasant person to being a real P.I.A...lol I am just just now starting to feel "normal again." I think that there are so many things in cigarettes that we become addicted to-( ie whole tobacco alkaloids (WTA) PLUS numerous things that are added to them to make them MORE addictive.
So, yes, you may be getting nicotine, but you still have to get the other crap out of your system.

I'd recommend making sure those close to you understand what you are dealing with, and try to be patient. In the meantime, perhaps check into some WTA e-liquid (aromaejuice has this). Hope this helps! :D

*edit* Didnt mean to just restate what the two or so post above me said lol...Im a painfully sllllllloooooooow typist on this qwerty...

I had plenty of grumpy days as well... I kept a carto of hypermint at 24mg to use during that time and it helped. I usually use 18 during the day and 12 at night. However you choose to deal with the detox, drink plenty of water and keep asking us for support. Many of us have been through the same as you. I know there are vapers who never had a craving... Many of us did!! (Still do on occasion, but they are short, weak cravings)

I started vaping on Feb 23 with one or 2 analogs a day had my last analog Feb 29 and yesterday I felt great except a bit of heartburn today don't even talk to me I am so grumpy how can this be when I am still getting my nicotine fix with the vamping?

It's not that I want an analog cos I really don't. Sorry just venting:

Hang in there. This too shall pass. That feeling still comes across me occasionally but fortunately it just lasts a very short time. I tell myself to just chill because I know what is causing it and know that soon it will be no more. Just keep that smile on your face and a song in your heart and you will get through this. In the long run it is sooooo worth it.

Cigarette smoke has other chemicals in it as already mentioned.

Specifically monoamine oxidase inhibitors. MAO inhibitors are actually antidepressants and may be one reason analog smoke is MORE addicting than pure nicotine.

I would specifically try to get a lot of light exposure especially in the morning.

I would watch for carbohydrate craving and don't pig out.

Most importantly I would begin a program of exercise regularly which will stimulate all those brain chemicals. Optimal is thirty min a day five times a week but anything is good. (standard disclaimer if you have medical condition check with your doc first etc etc)

Hang in there.
