Grumpy's Hooch Ongoing Review!

I just received my 30ml bottle of Grumpy's Hooch (70/30 vg/pg; 10mg nicotine) from sandsmods.com. From the initial smell of the juice, I get mostly mocha/coffee. Not tasting any tobacco or much of anything else. Also, it is a bit perfumy, which is to be expected. I'm going to let it steep for a week and review it again then. Nonetheless, it is a decent juice right out of the envelope. I read great things about this juice so I have high hopes for it; however at this moment, it is nothing special.

from what I've seen its supposed to be good after a week to ten days steep
I have not tried it yet but I am excited to try it'

I had a bit of a situation it was supposed to be delivered to me as per tracking
but I never received it, The post office tells me it was delivered and wont even listen
but the woman over there is going to send me a new bottle at no charge

So far I'm impressed with the customer service but it will be 2 weeks ( delivery plus 7 to 10 steep) before I try it

I just bought this, but made the mistake of ordering 0 nic. Noob mistake. All my other juices are 6mg and I thought this would be a good oppurtunity to step down. Straight out of the bottle it's pretty nice, but no TH. I had no idea. So....I'm going to let this steep and I've ordered another in 6mg. I'll mix the 2 and go down to 3mg.

Well, after vaping on Grumpy's Hooch for the whole day, I can say that although it doesn't taste special, it does have a pleasantness about it. I can easily vape it all day... like I did today, lol. I've tried a fake Boba's Bounty before and it kind of has a similar taste to that but Grumpy's vapes cleaner and smoother. I don't know... I'm definitely looking forward to trying it after about a week's worth of steeping.

Oh yah, I can't comment on their customer service because this is the first time I've ever ordered anything from sandsmods, but my shipping was kind of delayed because they were backed up... I guess that's a good thing though, lol. However, I did get a "thank you" + a happy face written by Chipper and Lisa on the receipt

I got my 30ml bottle of 50/50 - 18mg Hooch a couple days ago and I'm afraid I won't be able to steep it.... It may just be me, but I just can't put it down... It tastes of coffee with nutty undertones... Sweet, but not overwhelmingly so... All in all; incredible vape... I find myself vaping it non-stop.

So, I've been steeping the Hooch for about a week now and I filled up my tank. It tastes so much better; the perfumy smell is gone, the tobacco taste is more present, and the vape is even smoother than before. This is an extremely pleasant vape - definitely an ADV candidate. My only gripe with it is that it may be a little too smooth; there's no throat hit. Either way, I am liking this vape very much. Highly recommended for those wanting to find a good tobacco juice.

I just got my 10ml bottle of 18mg yesterday. All I can say is, I hope it gets a whole lot better after steeping for a week or two. I find it unvapeable at the moment.

I just got mine yesterday too (due to a PO mishap)
But its been suggested at least a 7 day steep
I wont even try it till next week

Grumpy's is my ADV. I just love this stuff. I get a root beer-y bourbon kind of sweetness from it. Throat hit is good for me, plenty of vapor off a 50/50 mix. I don't really steep, but I get big bottles and it does get better as the bottle gets lower. I've heard some Boba's comparisons, but I don't really think it applies, completely different flavor.

I really did not like it

I gave it as much a chance as I could (3 months) because customer service is fantastic
and got such a good review from RiP Trippers who is generally good on reviews


but it just never got better

After trying Grumpy's Hooch, tobacco flavors are all that I vape. It is a good flavorful tobacco and a juice I will always keep in supply.

Grumpy's Hooch is an absolutely fantastic juice, 'however', in my experience its flavor profile is destroyed with most atomizers. Grumpy's Hooch simply comes alive for me in the Kayfun. Hooch doesn't even like my REO/RM2, but once in the Kayfun the flavor simply comes alive. An absolutely awesome juice using the right hardware imo. I never like to drop below 125ml of Grumpy's but its reserved for use in the Kayfun only.

I take that as being 'facetious' but I vape Grumpy's Hooch practically 'every' day. I have tried on Vivi Nova's, BCC's, RM2/Reomizer, other atty's etc. but 'for me' the flavor of this particular juice only comes out properly in a Kayfun. You can take it or leave it. Just tryin to help.

Now i know taste is relative, and I can usually draw some comparisons to other peoples reviews, even if they describe the taste using different ingredients. This is one that i am having alot of trouble with. First juice out of a hundred or so that I think I may have gotten a mis-mix on. I get no coffee, toffee, tobacco, perfume, or anything else described on this, and other threads. This tastes like burnt popcorn (to me). Using that only to describe what i have in front of me, not associating any negative connotations with that flavor, but thats about it. Steeping it now for a test next week.

Has anyone drawn any comparison to that? I really don't want to be that guy, and email SandS and ask if its a mistake. (I am running it through a Kanger pro2 with a 2.5ohm coil.) hotter wattage seems to make it a little better for me, but I am really hoping this is just a really immature batch, and it just needs to steep. been looking forward to this one for a while.

I have tried sooo many "top rated juices", but keep coming back to Grumpy's Hooch! Its my ADV! (50/50 6mg)

That and Boba's Bounty doesn't taste anything like Grumpy's Hooch to me, nor is it as good...

I've never had much luck with it in a clearo, just doesn't seem to wick well. I stick to slotted cartos or my Russian for this one.
