GS AIR Help Please

Hi and nice to meet you all. Great forum you have here.
I am a big fan of the GS Air, which I bought recently. Zero gurgling or leaking and decent taste.
My problem is I simply cannot get any of the five-pack of replacement coils to work in it. When sizing them up, they all seem to be a tad shorter than the one that came in it, so I'm assuming they're not making connection and this is the issue. I tried rotating the ends of the coils but no luck.
Does anyone else have this issue or could maybe offer some advice?

New one to me, but I've only run one replacement coil in mine, been swapping it back and forth with the original after rebuilding them. There is a thread for the GS air once you get your 5 post, I'm sure someone there can help.

Check the pin on the bottom of the tank that screws off and holds the coil, it has a push in pin on the bottom and that may not be
making a connection with the coil...

Teh picture shows both types of tanks, it's possible that plug is pushed too far in or out...

Glad to hear that you're enjoying the GSA. It sounds like someone may have sold you the wrong coils. But let's see what we can do. Do the replacement coils have the Eleaf logo on them?

You're the GS Air master around here, Cheech. I leave this to your hands. From the sounds of it, someone may have sold rainking the wrong replacement coils. Maybe swapping the pin from the original head to a replacement will solve the problem? You've rebuilt many of those heads. I've never seen one in person. Good luck!

I just was gonna start at the bottom and work up...
The more heads here the more likely to help.

you don't want to rotate, as that can cause the coil inside to move.. rather, get your thumbnail between the casing and the rubber insulator, and between the rubber insulator and bottom pin.. make it come down ever so slightly to hopefully get a connection to the base of the tank.

I don't know which coil is interchangeable with the Air coil, is there a way to tell by looking at it?

the eGrip CS coils look almost the same as the GS Air coils.. but they function the same, except for that extra liner inside, making wicking more difficult and draws harder.

OP, if you have a way to post a picture of your coils and base, would be very helpful!

A few questions..
Is this the first time you are trying to replace the coil in the GSA you have?
Do you have another battery to try it on?

Need to figure out if its the GSA or the battery connection.

Yes, this is the first time trying to replace the coil, and I have tried the GSA with the new coils on three different batteries: Evod Mega (three blinks of the power button), Aspire G-Power CF (three blinks of the power button) and an ELeaf IStick ('Atomizer Low' error message.

Also make sure that some gunk or lint didn't get on the connector pin inside of the base of the tank when you removed the old coil. If it's covered up, there's no current and she won't fire.

atomizer low... I'm on break and not much time to get into it, but this is the key to your issues..

@rainking, what color is the o ring on your new coils?
I'm thinking you may have low ohm coils...do you have a way to check your resistance on the new coils?

I haven't seen the TC coils in stock yet.. but anything is possible.. would explain the issue for sure!

Could be a fluke, but sounds like low ohms...one maybe, but all? Since the tank worked fine with the initial tank, sounds like it's not the tank
like I initially thought.

The Istick will read the coil.. just do not press the power button.. use the up/down if needed and you should be able to tell us what ohm's the coils are..

Read all 5.. interested to know.. and do post a pix, it will help to id the coils..
