Already posted in the gs tank section but no one's answering. Have got two tanks and they have been okay for a few weeks have been changing coils and flavours no problem but last night washed out one of my tanks and left it till this morning filled tank. Primed the new coil. Second drag and it tastes rubbish and quite burnt. I have experienced this once before. Is it dud coils or what cause I'm getting seriously frustrated and does that mean the juice in my tank is ruined!?

Yes, but on the Air there is an outer liner prior to reaching the inner wicks.
I found that putting a couple of drops right into the top it gets right to the coils
and it's ready to go without waiting. I'm not one to sit around and wait for it
to wick the liquid on it's own. By doing this I can put the clearo back together
and vape away.
Just don't dump a bunch of juice in the hole and you'll find it's ready to go!

I had to run the Air at 6 watts with the stock coil...but I run high VG juice.
Got great performance at that wattage. When I rebuilt went much higher on the wattage, but that doesn't help you...
iStick 30 is a great device, you could lower wattage or volts and see if you get a better vape.

A friend says he runs his Airs at 15w (max VG)and they start to burn at 23 (I don't doubt that). I have some coming with 1.5 ohm coils. I'm gonna start low and crank it up, I think

Josh, we'd like to try and help sort this out. What eliquid are you running? What is PG/VG ratio? So, based on the last few posts, you put in a brand new coil and it is still tasting burned? Any chance it's a new e liquid that just has an off taste to you?

Does the istick show the right resistance for the coil? If it's getting a bad resistance reading, you might be scorching the juice inadvertently.

I found that screwing in the coil head on the GS Air can be a bit finicky. Too tight, and you'll likely get no atomizer reading . I've also not tightened it in enough and gotten high resistance reading which will make the mod burn hotter than you expect. There's a pretty thick o ring on the coil head that has a lot of give, or "squish" so sometimes it's hard to tell just how tightly to screw the coil in. This might not be it at all, but something I experienced.
