Hello.

This is my second attempt at e cigs. I'm a 52 year old 3 - 4 pack a day chain smoker.
The last thing I do before going to bed is fix a cup of coffee so I have it handy when my nicotine fit wakes me up in the middle of the night.

I first tried e-cigs with a smokers smart choice #7 mini.

If you smoke at any rate other than casual no mini will ever work.

I spent the first two days recharging batteries and refilling cartridges.

I decided I needed more equip so I ordered a second full kit and 2 extra batteries.

With six batteries and 4 attys I figured I was set.

Having all six fully charged I was able to keep them charged well enough in advance that by the end of the day I'd only have to wait about 5 min for one to finish charging.

This went mostely ok for about two days. By mostely I mean no two hits tasted the same. one would taste good, the next would have no taste or vapor at all, and the third would do nothing but burn my throat. The attys were constantly overheated, in fact a couple of cartridges became warped from the heat.

After 2 days 2 of the for atty's and three of the six batteries gave up.
I decided this was not the money saver it claimed to be and I gave up as well.

Last week I got a wild hair and decided to try again.

I broke out the old equip and drcided to half and half with analogs.

It wasn't too bad so I looked on the internet and ordered --- Oh No Not a free cigarette!!!!!
Fortunately while looking for adapters to make the 2 kits work together I stumbled on this site and Cancelled the order.

I ordered an epower 18650 on tuesday and recieved it today. I'm still waiting for the freebe so I can return it. I hope it gets here before the 14 days are up.

So anyway I unpacked everything and started up and I've been analog free for a good or 5 hours now.

Welcome to ECF. Hardware is the first thing you have to find for ecigs to work for you. The E-power is a good unit and will hopefully get you a healthier lifestyle as well as save you some money. Juice is the hardest thing to find if you want an all day vape. Personally, too damn many good juices out there to just limit yourself to only one or two. Good luck and if you need any questions answered, please ask.

It doesn't sound like you're doing too bad for a 4 PAD smoker! I think a good rule of thumb to make any vaper happy with their new PV is: You'll spend about as much as 15 days of your regular smoking to get started". For you that sounds like it may be upward of $300

This may include and combination of batteries, cartomizers and/or cartridges. And it could be a mix of small units for on-the-go vaping and larger ones to get those big hits, along with juice (High nic).

In order to be happy with it, vaping won't be an "instant $ saver" it'll take time to make your $ back. With the proper investment initially you will quickly be able to save money by refilling with juice.

That said, it may be too frustrating to have to fiddle with the atomizers and cartridges, you may want to invest in something with cartomizers. You can refill them easily and just toss 'em when they go bad.

Welcome to the forum!! I've been at this for about five weeks. Started with blu, then purchased an Echo with the dual coil cartos and have since ordered the Inferno starter kit from volcanoecigs. I also purchased the smaller tank to go with the Inferno and I really love the tank! Last a long time (so does the Echo with the dual coil cartos, they hold 3ml of juice) and the Inferno batteries charge up quick. The Echo batts have a slower charge rate, but they last all day as well. I just ordered a LavaTube variable rate PV and the big tank to go with it, can't wait for that puppy to show up!

Hope all goes well for you, the people here are great!

Thank you.

I bought a pack of EC 1.5 ml clearomisers with it that w\are working well.
But I think I may have a PG tolerance issue and I've seen a lot of posts about caros not working well with higher VG ratio.
Are there any high performance clearomisers jetted for VG?

I don't know the answer to your question about the clearomisers but I'm sure someone will know. I just wanted to say that I've used VG juices in the 1.7ohm single coil XL cartomizers and if you're patient and wait till the juice can soak in, they work well.

Welcome aboard from another ex 3-4 pad'er...
Stick with it, if you fall off the wagon it's no biggie, just climb back up on it.
As you are already discovering there is a bit of 'stupid tax' involved if you don't fall in with the right people real quick.. FWIW: I think we all paid it..lol.. I know I did.
Don't be afraid to ask questions.
